Sometimes skydiving students just need to relax... but what does that mean?
We often ask our students to relax, especially while they're learning, and that's really important. What we want is for you to remove any tension from your muscles; of course, you still need to put effort into keeping your position, but by breathing, wiggling our fingers and smiling, we allow our bodies to respond to the wind and our brains to catch up with what we need to do.
As you can see here, I'm very relaxed in the tunnel... š

Side slide babyā¦ I love this exercise where I ask my students to slide one way then immediately the other; you can only do it if you are using your booties and your arms effectively to catch the momentum. Itās a strength exercise for anyone wanting to improve their slides, turns and general belly awareness and precision.

As the World Cup in Teuge comes to an end, Iām remembering the awesome time we had out there representing our country as Team GB 8 way - āThe Awkward Turtlesā. Such a fun event and some an amazing group of humans too š¢

Iāve had a lot of fun coaching team Tachyon in single A 4 way this season. They have flown so well and surpassed their goals as a result - amazing!
They came to me with a 5.5 average and wanted to increase that as well as feeling more confident in their own flying and hill work. They finished the British Skydiving National Championships with an incredible average of 9.9 and, to top it all off, a SILVER medal. Well done!
Their focus, dedication and hard work have been brilliant to watch and what Iāve loved most is seeing them work as a team, with lots of laughter, support and good humour along the way.
Canāt wait to see what they achieve next. Congratulations Tachyon!
