Yoga Stops Trafficking is a global charitable movement based in Mysore, India, the home of modern day Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. This cause harnesses the power of yoga to raise awareness and funds to help support and protect victims and survivors of human trafficking and modern day slavery. The campaign supports the Odanadi Seva Trust, an organisation that has spent more than 30 years rescuing, rehabilitating and empowering women, men and children affected by trafficking, sexual exploitation, slavery and other forms of abuse.
For those who have survived the unimaginable, we dedicate this special evening of yoga practice. 💙🙏🧘♂️

Guided self practice with during his 2026 visit to Manchester at .
Join me for Mysore style self practice at Yoga Sangha Manchester each Monday and Wednesday, 6:00am-8:00am.
Mysore self-practice is a traditional style of teaching Ashtanga where students practise a memorised sequence at their own pace, while the teacher gives individual guidance and adjustments and suggestions of progression. Don’t worry if you have not memorised a sequence as this is your place to learn a personalised yoga sequence unique to yourself and your abilities. Originating in Mysore, India, through the lineage of teachings from Brahmacharya, Krishnamacharya, K. Pattabhi Jois and Sharath Jois, this style of teaching differs from a led class because everyone moves independently, allowing the practice to develop gradually and personally over time.
Message me for class details - suitable for all levels from beginner to advanced. 😊

Three brilliant days of practice and study with at exploring Ashtanga Yoga through daily Mysore practice and workshops focusing on breath, bandha, anatomy, movement mechanics, and teaching methodology.
Saturday focused on the relationship between diaphragm, bandha, and the nervous system, alongside standing posture work exploring grounding, spinal support, and the role of the sacrum.
Sunday’s workshops broke down jump backs and jump throughs into accessible component actions, with great insights into scapular stability, compression, and coordination. The afternoon lecture traced the development of modern yoga through teachers such as T. Krishnamacharya, Swami Yogendra, Paramahansa Yogananda, and Swami Vivekananda.
Monday centred on safe and effective physical assistance, reframing adjustments through anatomy, awareness, and respect for individual bodies, before finishing with practical approaches to building short but effective practices.
A thoughtful, technical and practical weekend enjoyed by all, and as always it is fantastic to have Adam in Manchester, thank you! 🙏🧘♂️

As a class moves through the standing sequence of the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga sequences, which is the same in all set series, students practice Utthita Parsvakonasana with steady breath and focused ‘drishti’. A key posture in the Primary Series standing sequence, this asana builds strength, stability and openness through the legs, hips and side body.
The synchronized movement of a class reflects the discipline and flow of the Ashtanga method, linking breath with Bandha and movement in a continuous moving meditation.
Come practice this asana and its progressions with me at
Thursdays 6:15pm
Sundays 7:15pm
