Manchester Bees Dodgeball

Tonight was final session at Bees before she heads back to Ireland! She’s been a brilliant coach for the past couple of seasons and has even helped out our Soldier bees when they’ve been short of players! We’ll all really miss her but wish her all the best 🇮🇪🐝

What a day for our Workers! They came into today fighting for 3rd but had an un-bee-lievable day and have walked away with 2nd and go into the playoffs, beating Derby Phantoms 3 and Virtue!

Queen’s spotlight, congrats on your 7th place! 🐝

After winning league one and securing promotion to super league last year, Queens were determined to prove themselves worthy of the promotion. After great wins and draws against the other teams they showed that they deserved their place in the league.

Queens have shown great resilience across the season, growing in strength and improving on scorelines in the second leg despite injuries, surgeries and loss they bounced back and never let the team spirit drop. They’ve done themselves really proud by solidifying 7th and next year will be setting their sights higher!

A huge thank you to who coached both Queens and the women alongside .newitt. She did a brilliant job and will sadly be leaving us for Ireland at the end of the season. We wish her all the best 🐝

A shoutout to .newitt too, who despite being out for the latter half of the season after surgery, she still showed up at trainings and league meets to coach both the women’s teams, thank you!

A shoutout to our Honeys team who had their last meet of the season today!

If there was an award for the most resilient team of ours, it would without a doubt go to our Honeys. They have had quite a lot of change across the season with new players coming in and players moving between teams but it’s been brilliant to see their confidence and ability go from strength to strength as we progressed through the season.

But we do need to give a big shoutout to our very own who has played 5 seasons with us (and most importantly Honeys) and will sadly be leaving us at the end of the season. She has played a massive role both on court as a key catcher and great thrower but also off court welcoming new players and even roping some unsuspecting friends in to help us out when numbers were low. She will be very missed!

Another big thank you to .newitt , who has supported the team throughout, coaching them at training and league, we wouldn’t have been able to do it without her.
