10 mistakes I’ve made during my fitness journey that you don’t need to..
1. Trained on random machines, skipped the tough stuff and wondered why my body didn’t change..
2. Took advice off people who wasn’t in shape and never had been.. don’t take advice off people who have never been where you want to go.
3.Trained like a machine but slept like crap. I thought 6 hours of sleep and a pre workout could solve everything..recovery isn’t optional it’s part of the plan.
4. Skipped legs for years. At one point my legs had less definition than my life goals 🤦🏽♂️
5. Thought soreness = Success. Thought if I didn’t hobble out of the gym I wasn’t training hard enough. Smart training gets results 💪
6. Measured everything by the mirror. Didn’t track lifts, didn’t track food. Just hoped I was seeing a difference in the mirror. No structure no progress! ✋🛑
7. Never trained mobility or warmed up. Just just into heavyweights and then wondered why I got niggling injuries. I now stretch nearly as much as I do lift 🙌🏽
8. Got distracted by trends of the moment. Keto, fasted cardio, 1000 rep challenges..you name it I tried it..everything apart from a consistent plan that worked.
9. Ate like a saint for 4 days then binged at weekends thinking it was balance. In reality it was just inconsistency and my excuse for it.
10. Expected rapid results. I honestly thought that 6 weeks of training would undo 6 years of bad eating and being a lazy b****rd! Results come@from consistency not rushing! Learn delayed gratification 💯👌.

“When I look at this picture, I see two completely different men, it may only be three years apart but it may as well be a life time!
The man on the left was stuck.
Exhausted in a job he didn’t love, chasing material things — the car, the house, the title — thinking that was success.
But deep down? I was empty.
I was lost, selling my soul for a version of success that didn’t truly matter.
No direction. Just existing.
On repeat.
Mentally, physically, and emotionally broken — even if I hid it well.
Then something changed.
Instead of putting my energy into something that didn’t fulfil me…
I put my effort into the gym.
It became my sanctuary.
It was always my passion — I just lost track of it while trying to impress in a materialistic world.
Now?
I’m the man on the right.
I’m not chasing money.
I’m chasing health.
I’m chasing happiness.
I’ve got peace in my heart, peace in my mind — and my body’s stronger than it’s ever been.
The harder I work in the gym, the better I look — and the better I feel.
It’s the gift that keeps on giving.
I’ve come a long way these past few years.
And the best part?
I’ve done it by being true to myself.”
