The Women's T20 World Cup kicks off soon, so to celebrate we are hosting a Girls only cricket taster session.
We'll have some fun games to play and all equipment is provided.
All ages from 9yrs and up are welcome to come and have a try with our friendly team of coaches, just turn up before the start time or email us for more information 🏏

As a club we're really proud of all the teams and so honoured to have been given the opportunity to welcome the lads to our ground.
We're also thrilled with the cosmetic update to the clubhouse which now provides a safe, comfortable & inviting space for our members and players to enjoy ✨️

The match day featured at the club was a brilliant day for everyone, but it could not have happened without the hard work of the lads, their families, the crew & the small team of dedicated volunteers that we have within the club.
Now we need to build our club even more and give back to our community, we need more people to get involved and join us!

So what are we looking for?
Coaches - help us to train our future young people, help us run All Stars & Dynamos to give our younger children a taste of cricket in a fun and safe way, it may well lead to our very first junior team in the future. This means we'll have a future!

We also have a ladies team who would love to get back playing next Summer, so we welcome new players and we would really like a coach to help us to build our skills and confidence, we have all the gear, we just need someone with all the ideas.

Scorers & Umpires to help us on match days, both at home & away.
The club will organise the full ECB training for all Coaching, Scoring & Umpiring courses.

If coaching and helping at matches isn't your thing, then why not Volunteer to help with the Cubhouse & grounds maintenance. Our Groundsman and his helpers do a fantastic job but they need more hands to help them get the wickets ready.

We have something exciting to share that we've kept secret for quite a while 🤫

In September last year we were approached by a TV production company, they asked if we could help them to continue filming at our ground and allow a team of boys to be based at our club.

Naturally we said yes, the whirlwind began and on a rainy day in October, a few of us went to the club and that's when we met Freddie Flintoff for the first time 🤝 😁
What happens next will all be featured on the new series of Freddie's Field of Dreams starting Sunday 7th Sept, please tune in to see for yourselves.

We take no credit for the hard work put into the teams, that's all down to the players for working so hard and the coaches who trained them, to give them a taste of the game and develop a new love for playing. They are all amazing, we are in awe of them all 🙌 Although some of them did get a few lessons on electrics, joinery & plumbing but that's another story that will be revealed 👀

But what we would really like to say is thank you to Fred, his coaching teams, all the lads, girls and their families, the production company and our very own volunteers who have made this experience so amazing 🙏
Our small cricket club will forever cherish the moments of being involved and it has really given us the encouragement to do more, grow our club, recruit volunteers and keep cricket alive in Blackley 🏏
There's lots to do in the future but for now we will enjoy watching the series and we hope everyone else does too 🤩
