10 centimetres - a distance which will normally be safely ignored in any large calculation. Not for Northern Ireland, and Johnny Evans though. In the stoppage time of the World Cup 2018 Qualifier Playoff second leg, while trailing 0-1 on aggregate, Evans' header was cleared off the line by Swiss Defender Ricardo Rodriguez in the 92nd minute, thus earning Switzerland a 0-0 draw on the night and a 1-0 win on aggregate. Switzerland book their tickets to Russia, while Northern Ireland are left to ruin their fate after a controversially (read, wrongly) awarded penalty converted by Ricardo Rodriguez himself in the first leg proves to be the ultimate difference between the two teams. With this defeat, the Northern Irishmen's wait for their first World Cup appearance after 1986 gets prolonged further by at least 4 years.

Andrea Pirlo was born in the wrong era. But that did not stop him from leaving his mark on it. As football's Classical-loving Rockstar hangs up his boots, we have a good reason to look back at his personality and career which is as diverse as the range of Serie A clubs he has played for. Read on!
Andrea Pirlo – Football’s Defiant Artist Hangs Up His Boots
Describe Andrea Pirlo in one quote. “I don’t feel pressure … I don’t give a toss about it. I spent the afternoon of Sunday, 9 July 2006 in Berlin sleeping and playing the PlayStation. In the …

"However tough the match was, you always knew Bobby could unleash one of his strikes from God-knows-where, Denis would make something out of nothing inside the box or George would just do something magical."
When Manchester United and Huddersfield meet in the Premier League, the legend of "The Holy Trinity" will cross the minds of many United fans. The last time United met Huddersfield at Leeds Road was in 1971. More significantly though, that marked the end of something beautiful. That was the last time George Best, Denis Law and Bobby Charlton each scored in the same match to give the Red Devils a 3-0 win.

From being the best team in Europe to losing everything good that made Bayern - Bayern. The utterly despicable decision to sack Ancelotti is just a reminder of Hyeneckes being given the pink slip to get in Pep Guardiola, months before Hyeneckes gave the club its greatest year and its greatest team.
It seems Bayern have completely lost what it means to be Bayern. Hypocritic statements that Bayern won't be forced to pay players what they deserve to paying huge amounts for players yet to prove themselves and to please a manager or letting go of a club legend without due respect.
A lot has happened over the past 4 years and Carlo Ancelotti, undoubtedly the best coach UCL has ever seen, was made a scapegoat for all that's wrong with Bayern Hierarchy.
One wonders how long Karl Heinz Rumminegge will keep going with this complete destruction of the club. Once Bayern's best forward, a club legend and a Ballon d'Or winner but now just the man who destroyed Bayern's golden generation. 'You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain'. This statement never made more sense.

RB Leipzig star Timo Werner had to be substituted pretty early during their UCL away match against Besiktas after complaining about dizziness following loud noise level created by the home crowd. Is this the most weird reason for substitution ever? Or do you remember any more such weird substitution? Guess if all home fans will try to give Besiktas crowd a tough competition now with their own intimidating cheers.
