Woodhouses Cricket Club

An emotional day last week for our 2’s as we saw Benjamin Bate play for WCC for the very last time. After many years as a valued member of our club, it’s time to say goodbye to Ben as he and his family begin an exciting new chapter in Australia.

Ben has been a huge part of the club from a young age both on and off the field, contributing not only with his cricket but also with his commitment, friendship, and support throughout the years. We have seen Ben progress through the junior section, become a scorer for the men’s teams, as well as play for the 3rds and into men’s cricket. His presence will be greatly missed by everyone involved with the club.

Ben is a really popular figure with the players and the members at the club so we marked the occasion with a small guard of honour for Ben. We would like to thank Ben for everything he has done and wish him, and his family, all the very best for their new adventure. Good luck Ben and the whole Bate family — you’ll always be part of our club and will be missed by everyone! 🏏💛🇦🇺
