U10s Mambas Match report
The Vipers couldn't have asked for a better opening β Josh scored within the first twenty seconds, his third goal for the team and a fantastic confidence-builder. Stanley's goal was real quality, striking from just inside the opposition's half with a high ball that bounced perfectly underneath their keeper. The third goal was a collective effort: Loki played through to Alex, left unmarked by the opposition, who found the perfect gap and picked out Cub. Cub carried the ball all the way to the keeper with cool-headed composure, forced the keeper to commit, and slotted it down the left-hand side.
The opposition are a talented side though, and their number eight in particular was an outstanding individual player who kept winning possession, was difficult to match for pace, and seemed able to score from anywhere when an opportunity presented itself. Stanley was switched partway through the match to try and counter him, and did an amazing job of killing their momentum.
Joel deserves a huge mention today. When Alex had to come off after taking a painful blow to the face β made worse by the freezing conditions β Joel stepped into goal without hesitation and was exceptionally brave between the posts, pulling off several impressive saves. Joel's early game in defence was real quality too β he took the opportunity to show off his improved ball control from training, making excellent use of quick turns, chopping the ball left and right to create space, followed by quick, accurate passing up the field.
There's lots to work on at training β the players are learning about the importance of pushing up as a unit, communicating clearly when taking ownership of the ball or a challenge, and being disciplined in holding position β but these are exactly the kind of lessons that only come from competitive matches, and the effort today was fantastic.
Player of the Match: Josh β for that clinical opening goal, his third for the club, setting the tone from the very first whistle.

Pythons U9s match report
A game of two halves, with a strong and organised first-half performance followed by a more difficult second period.
Straight from kick-off, the team made a perfect start. The first goal came from Alfie Bell, who reacted quickest in the box after the opposition goalkeeper parried a shot, calmly slotting home to open the scoring. Shortly after, a wonderful strike from Louie doubled the lead, putting the team 2β0 up against an opposition they had previously struggled to score against.
The first half continued in a positive manner, with good structure, discipline, and control, limiting the opposition and creating further promising moments.
In the second half, defensive organisation dropped, with players moving out of position and leaving gaps in key areas. This allowed the opposition to take advantage and score multiple goals, despite maintaining a deeper defensive line themselves.
To the teamβs credit, there was a strong response in the final stages, showing determination and fight to get back into the game

Adders U8s match report
Another brilliant performance for the under 8 adders today. Even though the result didnt go our way, we came up against the top of the league in the cup!
We went 1-0 down but then William brought us back in the game with a superb free kick!
We kept matching them goal for goal with a hatrick from Arya!
Aryas carrying of the ball forward was superb and got her a well deserved hatrick with a great free kick.
Great battling from Ava up and down the pitch showcasing some great skills!
William was unlucky with some of his chances on another day he could have had a hatrick! But well deserved goal from his free kick!
Kaygen and Frankie worked super hard at the back not giving up and some amazing long balls up the field.
Norah brilliant! Amazing as always!
Consistent high performer week in week out and just missed out on MOTM.

Late update from our U9s Pythons match on Sunday!
A great game today between two evenly matched teams, with both sides showing quality throughout. We played very well and created numerous chances on goal, only to be denied time and time again by an outstanding performance from the oppositionβs goalkeeper.
The game could have gone either way, but a couple of small mistakes allowed the opposition to find the back of the net. Despite this, the teamβs spirit never dropped, and they continued to battle hard, working tirelessly to try and break down a strong defence.
Parents Player of the Match goes to Alfie P for his relentless work rate, strong tackling, and excellent vision in playing through balls to teammates, creating multiple attacking opportunities. A fantastic team performance.
Player of the Match goes to Leo for a solid and composed display in defence. He showed great tactical awareness while protecting the goal and continually encouraged his teammates, helping to maintain belief and confidence throughout the match.
A strong performance overall with plenty of positives going into the next game.

PYTHONS U9s MATCH REPORT
A great performance from the Pythons today!
They all played brilliantly as a team, with every single player contributing and playing their part.
Lola did extremely well in goal, putting into practice what she has been learning. AJ and Bobby were strong at the back as always, helping to keep the team in the game. In midfield and attack, Alfie B, Alfie P, Coen, Louie and Oscar worked tirelessly, making it difficult for the opposition and constantly winning the ball back for their team.
Going forward, Coen pressed down the right wing and scored a great goal by cutting inside. AJ also scored a brilliant free kick, striking through the ball and finding the top corner of the net. Louie once again added to his goal tally for the season with a dashing run down the left before calmly slotting the ball past the keeper.
Player of the Match went to Lola for her excellent performance in goal, while Parentsβ Player was awarded to AJ for his strong, solid display in defence and the calmness he showed every time he was on the ball.
It was a performance to be very proud of
