Wow, what a day!

Not quite as busy with horses, only 7 today, however, more challenging on the brain as I discuss new ideas and processes with other professionals.

Started the day at Hallingbury Hall Equestrian Centre to see Alex Hardwick and her stunning young men. We checked their saddles, and I took the opportunity to congratulate Alex on her hard work in getting both her boys to the Nationals in a couple of weeks. Alex rides Joie in an Aviar and Santos S is in a Custom , both stunning saddles for these horses.

Then, on to see David Sanders of Equestrian Fitness Institute at Encompass Equine Solutions a check on how he and Hercules are doing. Then, a discussion about the learning that I shall be going through over the next few months, exciting times coming!

Lastly to see Katie Fishlock- Bit Bridle Saddle Horse Rider to see if we can come up with a plan for her Boris who has been a challenging horse to fit for everyone, due to his shoulders back and rib cage. I believe we may have a plan going forwards so I shall share more as we go, we didn't get it right today, but we have a plan which is the crucial part.

I am truly lucky to have a very knowledgeable team that I can surround myself with, which only benefits all of my clients.

Today was a fun day in South Essex.

Just the 9 horses today, which is a more manageable number, compared to yesterdays 23!

One of which was a cheeky Larry who had to investigate what I was doing. A gorgeous Fjord called Frodi and Captain, the wonky Irish Draught.

There were a few more who are no less important, I just can't take cute pics of everyone I see.

Frodi and his mum are a special couple with their mismatched shapes, I shall talk about them more in the next few days.

Back to work with a bang!

23 horses checked and sorted at .equestrian.

Many hands make light work, 1 saddle fitter, 3 riders, and 1 very well organised yard manager running back and forth to the tack room.

Long day but worth it seeing all the new and old equine faces. Checking all of the horses on the same day means that we can keep a consistent watchful eye on all of them as they change through their training.

I have been fitting the saddles at Writtle for the past 3 years.

The first 2 visits were chaotic as we sourced, swapped adjusted, etc. all the saddles the yard had access to.

Now, thankfully, each horse has a fitted saddle, and checks are far simpler thanks to understanding how these horses change throughout the academic year.
