This morning saw the Warriors up against Matlock Town. After watching Matlock last week it was expected to be a tight and difficult game. The Warriors have so far set a standard by the way they’ve been playing and today was no exception cruising to a 4-0 win. The whole team working hard for each other attacking with intent and also defending resiliently. It’s difficult to see this team losing at the minute with how they are playing. A superb team performance again and it’s a great impressive start to the season for the Warriors.

Yesterday saw us away at Lowdham Colts.
The warriors so far this season are playing some great football and this game was no exception. 4 goals in the first 6 minutes, an amazing start to the game the problem with this though was we starting getting over confident and struggled to get back and defend at times. Halftime and the score 4-1. A quick chat to the team about getting back and following the runners was the chat they needed as it was an impressive 2nd half display. Final score 5-2 to the warriors and the whole team getting the Joel Smedley player of the match.
Also the team were all handed a personalised water bottle each which was made by the very talented LGW Design

Today saw our kickstart campaign begin.
With a few players missing we just managed to get 7 players there so no subs today.
With that in mind we knew there would be some tired legs. From start to finish today we dictated the game playing some sublime football passing and moving our midfielders dropping into space and moving the ball around with ease. Both our wingers today ran their socks off and had the beating of the Meden defenders every time. It took us a while to actually score but when we did it opened up the flood gates and we was off. Another great team performance and another clean sheet. Our Joel Smedley player of the match could have gone to any one of them today but it was our two wingers Oscar and Harry that came away with the parents vote.

This morning the Warriors had our first home game of the season hosting Woodhouse Colts Red, always a close intense game against this opposition and today was no different, with lots of friendly rivalry.
The warriors started off on the front foot in the first half with Woodhouse struggling to match our intensity, a great goal from Jack seeing us go into half time a goal up. The second half was end to end seeing us play some great football as a team, on and off the ball. The hard work made sure we came away with a clean sheet and a one nil win.
A fantastic team performance.
Our Joel Smedley player of the match went to Jack, he had some fire in his belly today and channeled that into his football, putting on a spectacular performance. Well done Jack 💙🖤

First game of the YEL season this morning away at Ravenshead. The Warriors played really well in spells today, however not always closing down quickly enough at times. We felt they had another level or two to improve. It was 1-1 until the last minute or two of the game where we took our foot off the gas and leaked a goal, with a loosing 2-1 in what was a fairly even game.
Our Joel Smedley Player of the Match went to Ellis for his constant efforts battling up and down the pitch. 💙🖤

Sherwood Colliery Red are looking to add a striker to our team that wants the challenge of playing up at u11s in the YEL.

We would accept an u11s player as we will be playing up a year for 2 seasons, 1 season at 7v7 and then playing 9v9 in the 27/28 season.

Train Wednesdays play Saturdays at Debdale Sports Park in Mansfield Woodhouse.

The Warriors turned up at Meden Vale for their last tournament of the summer yesterday. With some tough teams in our group we found it hard, a weird day as in spells we played some good football but we struggled to score goals. The group phase saw us losing 2 games and drawing 2 games and not registering a single goal leaving us in 4th place. This put us in the Europa knockout phase, 1st game against Carr Vale who finished 3rd in the other group. Carr Vale took the lead and we thought we was going home but with seconds until full time we get a free kick just inside our own half, we pushed everybody into the box and let Corey our goalkeeper take the kick. It loops over the goalies head and drops into the net, whistle blows and it’s 1-1 straight to pens 😬. The Warriors handled the pens well with Corey again saving in sudden death to put us through to the final.
The Final saw us up against Meden Vale Gold who two of our Saturday players play for so we knew the team very well and have played them many times. We went into the game as slight underdogs but also knowing Meden haven’t been playing their best football. We saved our best for when it matters and we took the lead through Seth who has knack of scoring important goals when we need them. We defended courageously and was adamant Meden wasn’t scoring today. Full time and 1-0 to the Warriors, officially better than England 😉 and that’s another trophy for the Warriors.
Our Joel Smedley player of the tournament couldn’t of been anybody else with a penalty save to get us to the final and also scoring in n the semi final was our very own no 1 Corey (the monk).
We didn’t play to our best ability today but still walked away as Europa winners.
Well done Warriors 🔵⚫️⚽️🏆

Another reason why the Warriors family is the best around, not only did a lot of the parents volunteer to help with our annual junior tournament, we also had numerous parents holding stalls to raise money for our Warriors. We had glitter tattoos, fidgets, cakes, bread and lots of other items, the crew raised well over £500 for the Warriors. A massive well done and huge thank you. You are all truly amazing

Our very own tournament on Sunday saw the Warriors in action in the afternoon. Two pathways champions league and Europa. The Warriors secured a route into the champions league qtr final but unfortunately were knocked out by Coalville. We didn’t play our best football and were a little sluggish at times but came across some very good sides. This didn’t stop all the Warriors family having a great day in the sunshine. Our Joel Smedley player of the tournament was Corey (the monk) who only in the morning had to go home after being sick came back and gave a sterling performance in between the sticks. 🔵⚫️⚽️
