Thanks to all the club members who gave some time up today to support our pitch clean event.

Without volunteers clubs like ours can’t function and it is also heart warming to see people turn up and get stuck in!

Thank you to everyone who came along last night to Debdale Sports Park to remember and celebrate the life and memory of our friend, team mate and much loved member of our clubs, Philip “Stanno” Stanley.

Thanks to the hard work of the cricket club volunteers running the fundraising table we managed to raise an amazing £720.50.

These funds will be split between:
Sherwood Colliery Cricket Club
North Notts Hockey Club
The Dogs Trust

A really special point in the evening was to be involved in the unveiling of the new Philip Stanley end sign at the cricket club! A permanent reminder of Stanno and the impact he had on the cricket club.

A huge thank you to everyone who volunteered, helped organise, donated prizes and supported us on the night. It was a fantastic effort from everyone involved.

We hope everyone who joined us enjoyed themselves as much as we did!

Don’t worry, the plans are already being discussed for next year and making sure the cricket game does happen!! Not that both clubs are a little competitive 😂.

Thank you for helping us celebrate Stanno in the best way possible!!

Unfortunately the weather has got the better of the cricket game taking place.

We are however still going to be holding an evening to remember Phil and raise some money as well as another commemorative unveiling taking place

It would still be good to see as many people around for the evening and we will reorganise the cricket match at some point!
