Harry Banner finishes runner up in the Notts County under 18s match play

Harry qualified as one of the 16 players to compete in the under 18’s county match play championships which took place on Monday and Tuesday this week.

Round 1 on Monday he won his match 6 &4
Round 2 on Monday he won his match 3&2
Semi final on Tuesday he won 5&4 to make it to the final on Tuesday afternoon

He played the under 18’s champ in the final and it was a close battle throughout. Harry was 1 down going down the 18th but unfortunately lost to a birdie on the last to lose 2 down.

The Notts County girls scratch team won the Midland North trophy for the second year running. The team included SFGC member Amelia Wan (second from left)
