Riley
Our newest Volunteer
With a passion for high-energy dance and a love for performing, there’s no style Riley is afraid to take on! From full-out, high-energy routines to expressive contemporary and intricate jazz, bringing enthusiasm, versatility and plenty of personality to everything they do!

Joining the Teapots team this September, Riley will be volunteering with us to gain valuable experience and continue developing their knowledge within dance and the creative arts. They will be getting involved in all things Teapots — from helping to plan our shows and supporting classes, to developing and choreographing some routines of their very own.

We’re so excited to see Riley grow, create and bring their own ideas to the team.

September just got a whole lot groovier! ✨🪩

Rhys Griffiths
Lights and Sound Technician
Meet the Magic Behind the Mayhem!
Every great show has someone working their magic behind the scenes, and for Teapots, that’s Rhys!
He’s the magic behind the chaos! Whether it’s the perfect musical cue, an extra lighting effect or a spotlight in just the right place, Rhys knows exactly how to light up a stage and bring the sparkle.
With a passion for all things technical and a wealth of knowledge in production software and technology, Rhys is the person you want in your corner when show day arrives. He has a knack for making complicated technical wizardry look completely effortless!
From creating atmosphere to making sure every cue hits at exactly the right moment, Rhys is always behind the scenes making the magic happen — usually with a laptop, headset and about 47 things happening at once!

Natalie Schwinger
Creative Content Artist
I originally joined Teapots in 2024 as a proud dance mum, sitting in the audience and watching my daughter do something she absolutely loved. I had never danced before myself, but it’s something I’ve always had a love and passion for especially musical theatre. I gradually found myself getting more and more involved until eventually I was encouraged to join!

I’ve now performed in three shows, with my fourth coming up, and I can honestly say it’s been the most amazing experience.
Being part of the team has given me something that has been missing for me.
It has pushed me, challenged me, built my confidence and given me the chance to finally do something I’ve always dreamed of doing!

I’m also part of the team and volunteer to help wherever I can. I love getting involved, bringing ideas and creativity, helping behind the scenes and supporting the team in any way that’s needed.

Teapots is more than a dance group it’s a little family full of support, encouragement, friendship and plenty of laughs. (Which we do a lot of in the adult’s class!) I honestly can’t imagine not being a part of it.

Michelle Steer
Meet Our Company's Very Own Auntie!
From sewing and creating, to plenty of giggles along the way, Michelle brings a whole lot of heart, creativity and fun to Teapots!
With a lifelong love of dance and musical theatre, Michelle has always been happiest when she's singing, dancing and, most importantly, making people smile.
Growing up dreaming of the big stage, she now knows that Teapots is exactly where she belongs.
For Michelle, there's nothing more rewarding than helping young children discover their own passions, build confidence and find their own unique voice. She believes that creativity, performance and a little bit of fun can play such an important role in helping children shape who they are and who they want to become.
Teapots has always been at the heart of everything Michelle does, and you'll often find her sitting in on classes, cheering everyone on and soaking up every magical moment. And if you're lucky... she might even join in!
After all, you're never too much for a little Teapots magic!

Molly McAlister
Singer and Artist
Dancing since the age of three and singing for as long as she can remember, Molly has spent the last two years sharing her love for the performing arts with Teapots
Dance Company. Having the opportunity to take the stage again has been deeply fulfilling, and she is endlessly grateful to Teigan for creating a space where her passion and creativity can thrive.
Beyond performing, Molly works hard behind the scenes to help bring Teapots' vision to life. From brainstorming show concepts and picking song lineups to editing music and video, assisting in classes, and keeping show days running smoothly, she loves every step of the process and is thrilled to be part of the Teapots team and looks forward to every new production.
For Molly, Teapots isn't just a dance company-it's a place to create, connect, and inspire.

Daniel McAlister
Tap Teacher and Co-Choreographer

I have been a proud part of the Teapots Dance Company family for three years, both as a supporter and a dancer. As a co-choreographer, I love supporting Teigan with company choreography and teaching tap dance to our brilliant juniors and seniors. My dance journey includes training at Stageworks in Huntingdon and Urdang in London, followed by many years of dancing and teaching at Dance Mania. For me, the best part of Teapots is the incredible sense of community, the team spirit, and the collaborative way we work. Being involved in our fantastic shows has truly reignited my lifelong love for dancing and teaching all over again!

OUR STORY

Founded in 2022, Teapots was created from Artistic Director Teigan's vision to build a truly inclusive space for dance and the arts — a place where creativity is celebrated, individuality is embraced, and every person has a voice that is valued and heard.
With a lifelong passion for dance, creativity and storytelling, Teigan wanted to create something that went beyond simply teaching steps and performing on stage.
Her vision was to establish a community where children and young people could express themselves freely, build confidence, form meaningful friendships and play an active role in shaping the stories they tell.
Since those early days, Teapots has continued to grow.
What began with one member of staff has developed into a dedicated team of three staff members and a volunteer.
As we move into September 2026, we are incredibly excited to welcome two new members of staff and an additional volunteer, allowing our Teapots family to grow even further.
Collaboration sits at the heart of everything we do. From planning classes and developing creative ideas to producing our shows, every member of the team is encouraged to contribute. Our volunteers bring an important young voice to the company, but most importantly, we listen to the children and young people who attend our classes.
Their ideas matter. Their creativity matters. Their voices matter.
We believe some of the most powerful work happens when young people are given the freedom and confidence to share their own vision. Bringing those ideas together and transforming them into something that can be celebrated on stage is what makes Teapots shine brightest.

More Than Dance

At Teapots, we thrive on inclusivity, freedom, creativity and friendship. We want every person who walks through our doors to feel that they belong, regardless of their ability, experience or background.

Of course, we love the performances, the costumes, the lights, the excitement and the glitz and glamour of show day — but those moments are only the icing on the cake.

The true magic happens in the dance hall.

It is found in the laughter between rehearsals, the friendships that grow week after week, the confidence of a child finding their voice, and the pride of watching someone achieve something they once thought was impossible. It is in the shared memories, the encouragement, the creativity and the feeling of being part of something bigger.

We don’t believe dance should be about fitting into a mould. We believe it should give people the freedom to discover who they are.

Our ambition is to continue building a company where every child and young person feels seen, heard, supported and celebrated. A place where differences aren’t simply accepted — they are recognised as part of what makes our community so special.

As Teapots continues to grow, our heart remains exactly where it began: with our young people.

We want to create opportunities that inspire them, experiences they will remember, friendships they will carry with them and a confidence that reaches far beyond the studio doors. Whether a young person dreams of performing on stage or simply wants somewhere they can laugh, move, create and completely be themselves, there will always be a place for them at Teapots.

Because for us, success isn’t measured by how bright the stage lights shine.

It’s measured by how brightly our young people shine beneath them.
