✍️ NEW SIGNING | MOLLY HUGHES

We’re delighted to welcome Molly Hughes to MDTFC Ladies as we continue preparations for the new season.

A midfielder with plenty of quality on the ball, Molly brings composure and technical ability to the middle of the pitch. Comfortable in possession and confident with the ball at her feet, she adds another dimension to our midfield as the squad continues to take shape.

Molly’s ability in possession will give us another option in the centre of the park, and we’re looking forward to seeing that quality on show throughout the campaign.

Another important addition secured as preparations continue for the season ahead.

TRAINING REPORT🔴⚪️

A quieter evening on the training pitch tonight with limited numbers available, allowing the group to focus on individual work rate, fitness and quality on the ball.

The evening began with a player-led warm-up, giving the group the responsibility of getting themselves physically and mentally prepared before moving into the main part of the session.

With numbers limited, tonight provided the perfect opportunity to place a greater emphasis on fitness and conditioning. The players were put through a demanding fitness-based activity focused on improving both stamina and strength, ensuring plenty of work was put into the legs.

From there, we moved onto a passing drill, with the focus switching back to quality on the ball. Players were encouraged to remain sharp despite the physical work beforehand, concentrating on the weight and accuracy of their passing, movement after releasing the ball and communication with those around them.

The session was rounded off with a competitive game, allowing the players to finish with the ball at their feet and put the evening’s work into a match environment.

Our next player announcement will be revealed TOMORROW at 6PM!

📅SEPTEMBER FIXTURES | MDTFC LADIES

Our first fixtures for the 2026/27 season have been confirmed, with three games currently scheduled for September as we prepare to begin our new campaign.

We open the season at home against Dawley Town Ladies, before two consecutive away fixtures against Albrighton Women and Allscott Heath FC Ladies.

Another addition to the middle of the park as we welcome Charlotte Sherwin to MDTFC Ladies for the new season.

Charlotte joins our midfield ranks as the squad continues to come together ahead of the upcoming campaign. Ready to get involved and play her part, she adds another presence in the centre of the pitch and strengthens the group in quality and experience as preparations gather pace.

With each signing, the foundations for our first season under the MDTFC Ladies banner continue to grow, and we’re pleased to have Charlotte joining us on that journey.

Rachel will add to our options in midfield, an area where her presence will be important as we look to build a competitive and well-balanced squad for the campaign ahead.
