🔴⚪️ Welcome to Market Drayton Town
🗣️ Lloydy had this to say on the signing of Beamon 🗣️
“I’m really pleased to welcome Owen to Market Drayton Town. He’s already gained a huge amount of experience playing at Steps 4 and 5, which speaks volumes about the ability and potential he possesses.
Owen is a very talented defender who brings a real physical presence with his height, but what particularly impresses me is how comfortable and composed he is in possession. He fits the profile of defender we want at this football club.
What stood out to me most, though, was his attitude. From the conversations we’ve had, it’s clear he has the character, ambition and mentality I want in my dressing room. He’s hungry to develop, achieve his own personal goals and, just as importantly, help Market Drayton achieve ours.
We’re trying to build a squad full of players who are not only talented footballers but also have the right attitude and desire to take this club forward. Owen certainly ticks those boxes, and I’m really looking forward to working with him.”
🗣️Owen’s Comments 🗣️
“I know Drayton have been after me for a few years now and i played for them once in a friendly against Nantwich. I feel this is the time for me where i need a local team to play for who will win games and still help me progress
Even though ive played over 100 games at step 5 and 30 at step 4 i am still young and have alot to learn, hopefully both myself and Drayton can progress together and as we climb the tables - I can become a real key figure at the club and a place i can feel at home.
I hope we get a lot of fans there on Saturday and get a win to start for you all!”
