Another fantastic evening for tennis last night 🎾

This time it was Team 4’s turn to welcome the lovely Oswestry Tennis Club to MDTC, with the home side coming away with a fantastic 4–0 victory! 🙌

Well done Claire & Troy and Mark & Alex 👏

And possibly just as importantly… everyone finished the evening with tummies full of the most delicious sandwiches. Thanks, Troy! 🥪😋

Another home match played for Team 5 yesterday evening 🎾

This time we welcomed Oswestry Tennis Club, who put up a great fight, with the match finishing in another 2–2 draw 🙌

That makes it four matches played and we’re still undefeated! 💪🎾

We’ll be heading to Oswestry for the away leg next month.

Well played everyone! 👏

Amazing to see so many enjoy the exciting coaching session on Thursday evening. Some budding tennis talent among the Beavers 👏 Thanks AD Coaching for organising such a fun event 🙌

🌍🎾 Around the World in Tennis! 🦫

What a fantastic evening at Market Drayton Tennis Club last night, welcoming 17 Beavers for a special tennis adventure!

The challenge was simple… complete the tennis challenges, unlock your rackets and travel around the world to visit all four Grand Slam countries! 🇦🇺🇫🇷🇬🇧🇺🇸

From Australia to France, Great Britain and the USA, the Beavers worked together, took on different challenges and most importantly had lots of fun along the way! 🙌

A brilliant evening of tennis, teamwork and adventure. Huge thanks to all 17 Beavers and their leaders for joining us — we hope you enjoyed your trip around the tennis world! 🌍🎾

🎾 It’s been a VERY busy week for Team 4! 🎾

Two matches, two very different evenings… and plenty of tennis to keep us out of trouble!

Tuesday vs Wrekin & Telford: a tough 3–1 loss, but a massive shout-out to Philippa & Henry, both just 16, who played their socks off to take our only rubber after an epic battle: 6–7, 6–2, 1–0. 👏🔥

Then it was back out on Thursday for match number two, this time against Boughey Gardens. Troy & Henry were joined by Claire and club newcomer Felicity, playing her first match for us — and what a close night it was! Both pairs went all the way to match tie-breaks in the first two rubbers, sadly not quite taking the wins, but the team battled back to make it a 2–2 draw. 🙌🎾

And just to keep things interesting… we’re back against Boughey Gardens again this Tuesday! Hopefully we’ve all recovered by then!

Huge well done to everyone — and a big welcome to Felicity! 🎾👏

Team 4 have definitely earned their cake this week! 🍰😆

🎾 Team 5 Match Update

A fabulous evening of tennis for MDTC Team 5 on Thursday, away against Hinstock LTC Team 2 in the mixed doubles, Autumn League.

Alex & Geoff, Marina & Mark battled through some very close sets, with the match finishing a well-earned 2–2 draw.

The tennis was followed by a lovely trip to the pub for sandwiches and a swift drink; a very enjoyable evening all round!

Thanks to Hinstock for the warm welcome. We don’t have long to wait for round two, with the home rematch on Monday! 🎾
