We’re now taking final bookings for our upcoming IOL Bushcraft Competency Certificate Training Course, held at our private woodland site near Warminster, Wiltshire.
This comprehensive three-day course is designed for adults aged 18+ who are looking to develop a strong foundation in practical bushcraft skills and knowledge.
The course provides 24 hours of guided instruction, delivered by experienced, IOL-approved instructors, covering a broad range of core bushcraft competencies in a supportive woodland environment.

There are still a few places available for our one-day Pole Lathing Taster Day on Sunday 27th September.
Held at our woodland site near Warminster, Wiltshire, this hands-on workshop is a great opportunity to discover the traditional craft of pole lathing and have a go at using a traditional pole lathe under expert guidance.
This is a beginner-friendly course aimed at people who have never tried pole lathing before. Come along, learn the basics, get hands-on with a traditional pole lathe and discover the satisfaction of creating something using this fascinating traditional craft.

Fundamental Bushcraft & Survival Skills Day
Step away from the everyday and discover the confidence that comes from knowing how to thrive in the outdoors. Our hands-on Fundamental Bushcraft & Survival Skills Day is the perfect introduction for beginners or anyone looking to refresh their skills.
During the day you'll learn how to:
Use a bushcraft knife safely and effectively
Build a natural debris shelter
Pitch a tarp shelter and master simple, useful knots
Find north without a compass
Make cordage from natural plant fibres
Identify common native trees and discover their many traditional uses
Light a fire without matches using natural materials
…and much more besides!
Running from our beautiful woodland site near Warminster, Wiltshire, this practical, friendly course is packed with traditional woodland skills that have been used for generations.
9:30am – approximately 4:30pm

Over the last few days we’ve been busy running the IOL Bushcraft Competency Certificate Training Course at our woodland site near Warminster. Over three days, participants work through eight practical units, developing the skills and confidence needed to become competent bushcrafters.
One of the highlights is always the fire by friction session, where everyone learns to make fire using a traditional bow drill. 🔥
There’s something truly special about witnessing that moment when someone creates fire this way for the very first time. The smiles say it all!
