Following another fantastic day at Oxford City Football Club, we are delighted to announce that together we raised an incredible Β£3,574.53 for charity! π

πΆββοΈβ½ A FANTASTIC START TO A SPECIAL DAY! β½πΆββοΈ
Before the 11v11 CPJB Charity Match took to the stage, our Walking Football Tournament once again showcased everything that makes football so special β friendship, competition and community.
A huge thank you to all four teams who took part:

Congratulations to Oxford United Over 65s, who successfully defended the title they won last year with another outstanding tournament.
After victories and draws in the group stage secured their place in the final, Oxford United met Brackley in a closely contested decider. An early goal from Carlos Gomes proved enough to seal a 1-0 victory and retain the trophy. π
Thank you to all the players, volunteers, officials and supporters who helped make the tournament such a success. Your involvement helped create a wonderful atmosphere and raise vital funds for , , and .

π Potter Has the Final Word
In the sweltering heat at , the CPJB Charity Match lived up to expectation. Goals flew in, and after an incredible contest, Abingdon Town XI edged a remarkable 9-8 victory to retain the trophy.
The final moment belonged to Andy Potter when he produced a sublime chipped finish to seal the win, providing a fitting and unforgettable end to a day dedicated to celebrating the lives of his brother Chris Potter and Joey Beauchamp. This meant that Captain Luke Beauchamp had the honour of collecting the trophy again. πππ

The 2026 CPJB Charity Match warm up tops have arrived, and this year's colours carry a special meaning. We've chosen yellow as it is a colour that was synonymous with both Chris and Joey in their pomp.

πβ½ FROM ACROSS THE POND TO CPJB! β½π
We're delighted to welcome another exciting addition to this year's CPJB Charity Match as Luke Adams joins the line-up for the first time.
Luke has enjoyed an impressive footballing journey, representing Barnet and Swindon Supermarine, before taking his talents overseas to play in the USA with Philadelphia Fury, Michigan Stars, and Charleston Battery.
Now, Luke is heading to to be part of what promises to be another fantastic day of football, celebrating the lives of Chris Potter and Joey Beauchamp while raising money for three incredible local charities.

π§ β½ THE GAFFERS ARE IN! β½π§
We're delighted to confirm the two managers who will take charge of this year's CPJB Charity Match.
π΅ Alan Thorne will manage the Abingdon Town XI.
A true Oxford City FC legend, Alan famously led the club to the FA Vase Final, cementing his place in the club's history. He also enjoyed a successful spell as Abingdon Town manager, making him the perfect man to lead the defending champions.
π‘ Brian Melrose will take charge of the Oxfordshire Select XI.
A respected figure in local football, Brian will be looking to inspire the Oxfordshire Select side as they aim to reclaim the trophy after last year's dramatic penalty shootout defeat.
With two experienced football men at the helm, we're all set for another fantastic contest!

β½π₯ GOAL MACHINE... WELCOME, JOHN MILLS!π₯β½
We're delighted to announce that John Mills will be pulling on the boots for this year's CPJB Charity Match at City!
One of the most prolific goalscorers to come out of Oxfordshire football, John enjoyed a distinguished non league career, making his name with Hereford, where his goals played a huge part in the club's rise back up the football pyramid.
John has also represented Abingdon United, Didcot Town, North Leigh, Bath City, Banbury United and Wootton Bassett Town, building a reputation as a striker who always knew where the net was.
We're thrilled that John will be joining us on Sunday 5th July as we celebrate the lives of Chris Potter and Joey Beauchamp while raising money for three fantastic local charities.

We're delighted to announce that James Organ will be making his CPJB Charity Match debut on Sunday 5th July at Oxford City FC.
A familiar and well respected figure in Oxfordshire football, Oggy enjoyed a distinguished non league career, spending much of his time competing in the Southern League.
His footballing journey saw him represent Abingdon United, Abingdon Town, Didcot Town, Oxford City, North Leigh, Kidlington, and Milton United.
We're thrilled to welcome another experienced local footballer to this year's event as we celebrate the lives of Chris Potter and Joey Beauchamp while raising vital funds for three fantastic local charities.
