🌟Player of the match- Martock Rhinos

First game of the season in our new kit sponsored by Bradfords Building Supplies. Both teams put in a great effort with some good passages of play with the Rhinos demonstrating some good promise 🙌🔥

Player of the Match - Walter 🏆

Walter, our goalkeeper, in only his second match pulled off a string of great saves and had wonderful composure when playing out from the back. With a powerful goal kick and a fantastic attitude Walter is an excellent addition to the Rhinos. Congratulations Walter, keep it up!💪⚽️

Soccer School Year 1 & 2/ U7s team & for an U9s team – COACHES / MANAGERS WANTED

Martock Rovers is growing! 💚

We’ve had an amazing amount of interest from children wanting to play football with us in our U7 and U9 age groups, so much so that we have the opportunity to create additional teams! 🙌

⚽️ More teams = more children playing
⚽️ More matches
⚽️ More game time
⚽️ More opportunities for local children to enjoy grassroots football

But we need some extra help to make it happen!

🟢 DO YOU HAVE A CHILD WHO WANTS TO START PLAYING FOOTBALL?

Perhaps your son or daughter is looking for their first team and you’d love to help them begin their grassroots football journey.

Why not start that journey together and help us create a team? 💚

You don’t need to already be an experienced football coach. Whether it’s one person taking the lead or two or three parents working together, Martock Rovers can support you with getting started and completing the relevant coaching qualifications.

For our U9s, we already have a large squad and enough interest to potentially create a second team, giving the children more opportunities for matches and game time.

For our Soccer School, we’re looking for people who would love to help our youngest players take those first steps into grassroots football. ⚽️

🏆What a performance from Blake! 🏆

Usually an absolute rock in defence, we asked Blake to step out of his comfort zone and lead the line up front — and he was brilliant! 👏

💥 He topped his performance off with an unbelievably powerful goal, giving the keeper absolutely no chance!

But it wasn’t just the goal that earned him POTM…

🛡️ Strong and committed in the tackle
🎯 Quality passing and link-up play
💪 Non-stop effort for the team
⚽️ Took on a completely different role and gave it everything

We loved watching Blake embrace the challenge and show another side to his game.

🔥 WHAT A WAY TO START THE NEW SEASON! 🔥

Our Under 8s kicked off their new campaign today with a fantastic performance from the entire team! ⚽️👏

The work rate from all the players was incredible from the first whistle to the last. Everyone gave absolutely everything for the team, making it one of those games where POTM could genuinely have gone to any one of them! 💚🖤

🏆⚡️ PLAYER OF THE MATCH SAMUEL ⚡️🏆

With so many great performances, choosing a POTM wasn’t easy, but eventually the award went to our little speed demon, Samuel! ⚡️💨

Samuel did exactly what was asked of him, putting in a brilliant defensive shift and working tirelessly for the team.

As the game went on, he really started to show what he could do going forward too — driving runs, carrying the ball up the pitch and using that electric pace to cause problems.

And to top off a brilliant display… he got himself on the scoresheet! ⚽️🔥

A thoroughly deserved POTM. Well done, Samuel! 👏🏆

From the first whistle, he was strong, fearless and fully committed, putting in some fantastic tackles and refusing to give the opposition an easy moment. 💪🛡️

Another game, another magnificent performance from our stand-in goalkeeper, Shiv! 🧤👏

Whatever the team needs, Shiv is there. He’ll play anywhere on the pitch, always with a smile, always giving 100%, and most importantly, always putting the team first. 💚⚽️

Stepping into goal once again, Shiv showed exactly the attitude that makes him such an important part of this team. 💪

As coaches, we genuinely can’t speak highly enough of him. He’s an absolute pleasure to coach, and we’re incredibly proud of the attitude he shows, the teammate he is, and everything he gives every time he pulls on the shirt.

A fantastic performance, but an even better example of what being part of a team is all about. 👏💚

🏆🟢⚪ SUMMER 7s LEAGUE CUP CHAMPIONS! 🟢⚪🏆

What an achievement from our Martock Marvels, who finish an incredible Summer 7s campaign by lifting the League Cup after a thrilling 4-2 victory over East Coker Cockerels in the final! 🔥⚽

The Marvels went through the entire league winning EVERY game, and when it mattered most, they produced once again to finish the job and bring home the trophy! 🏆💚

What has impressed us most throughout this tournament has been the incredible team spirit and selfless football from this group. Every single player has played their part, worked for their teammates and contributed to some fantastic football along the way. 👏

A huge congratulations to our Martock Mavericks after a brilliant 3-1 victory over East Coker Rangers in the Summer 7s League Plate Final! 🔥⚽

What a performance from the whole team! From the first whistle to the last, every single player gave 100%, working for each other and playing some fantastic football along the way. The passing, movement and teamwork were a joy to watch, and the Mavericks thoroughly deserved the result. 💚👏
