Pregnancy and postnatal exercise and wellbeing support. http://linktr.ee/activenurture I'm Carly and I am passionate about health, fitness and yoga.

After having children of my own I realised how lovely yet challenging the prenatal and postnatal journey can be, so I decided to train as a fitness instructor and yoga teacher. I took further qualifications to improve my knowledge of prenatal exercise and post natal recovery, as I felt the support wasn't there at general classes and gyms. I love helping mums to reconnect with their bodies, feel strong, calm and confident. I also deliver classes to the general population too.

CLASS UPDATE

Due to personal circumstances I have stopped my Melton Mowbray yoga sessions until further notice. I really hope to start these again in the future. Thank you so much to everyone who has come along and supported the sessions.

I would love to welcome you to Old Dalby candlelight yoga this term. If you are a Melton Mowbray regular let me know and I will sort you out a free class.

CANDLELIGHT YOGA is coming to Old Dalby.

Lots of my regular yoga clients often ask me how to improve their sleep and reduce their anxiety levels.

Others have spoken to me about the difficulties they experience with their mood as we head into the winter months.

So I have created this 'Cosy Candlelight Programme' to help you go from worried and/or struggling with insomnia to feeling cosy, calm and experiencing better sleep in just 8 weeks.

Come along to unwind and relax, stretch and experience that cosy feeling that we can create at this time of year.

Classes are gentle and suitable for everyone, including postnatal.

They will be held at Old Dalby at 6pm on Wednesdays.

If this sounds good, then comment 'interested' below or send me a DM and we can chat more.

If you've been on the fence about whether to try yoga, there's no better time than right now.

Why?

When you delay taking action on your health (or anything for that matter), it often falls to the wayside. It becomes an inner fantasy of what we want to create, who we want to be and how we want to live. And as lovely as fantasies are, it leaves us stuck exactly where we are.

Here are some facts:

45% of people are more likely to keep active if there's a social link. So whether you bring a friend or make some here we're sure to keep you accountable.

Learning or honing a new skill increases our dopamine levels which make us feel happy. For me, there's nothing better than the sense of achievement or calm that I get from yoga.

People who schedule their activities are more likely to commit to their plans and achieve their goals.

And, I don't really talk about the effects of yoga on the way our body looks. I much prefer to think of it as building strength, reducing muscle tension and feeling calm...but I guess the toning is a happy accident.

Yoga is still the most popular group exercise in the world, and for good reason.

..do you think it's decision time?

Why not come along for a trial session?

There's gentle yoga, mixed ability yoga, pregnancy yoga or chair yoga to choose from!

YOU HAVE TO BE FLEXIBLE TO DO YOGA πŸ§˜πŸ½β€β™€οΈis a MYTH! ❌

More myths include;

❎ You have to be a certain age or ability level.
❎ You have to be a certain gender.
❎ You have to be incredibly spiritual.

βœ… The truth is that you take from yoga what you want to, you make it your own journey.

πŸ’ͺ If your focus is fitness and strength that's great.

πŸ§˜πŸ½β€β™€οΈ If it's mindfulness and relaxation that's perfect too.

Despite what you may hear there's no one way or right way to practice.

πŸŽ‡ So if you want to see and feel the difference before the summer holidays arrive, then book on below.
