Melton Foxes U18 v Riverside
Sunday 23rd August 2026
Friendly
Won 5-0

After a hugely challenging summer where we’ve had a large overhaul of our playing squad; we finally got onto the grass this week for our first pre-season friendly.

The boys worked hard in the midday heat and comfortably beat our opponents 5-0.

It was 3-0 at half time with first half debut goals from Jack and Dan, along with a usual Alfie goal gave us a comfortable lead.

Lots of changes (because of the heat and to see how the boys adapted to different positions) made the game both disjointed and scrappy…

But a further goal from both Jack and Alfie completed the scoring..

Well done to all the lads today; and thank you… you have shown resilience and determination to keep us going this summer against the odds.

Man of the Match; I couldn’t decide between Jack and Dan so award shared.
