Sorry to be the bearer of some sad news. I was informed that Ian Blandford has passed away. Ian was one of the original students at the Melton Mowbray club. A wonderful kind and caring person, who had time for everyone.
Master Dhaliwal wrote;
‘Very sad to hear of Ian’s Passing Away. A Good Man and a Good Member of the Association…. Always respectful for the Art.’

Dear colleagues,
I have been notified by Bruce Campbell, that a very dear friend and colleague from the very early years of Goyararu/Tetsudo, Ian Blandford has been taken unwell following a quadruple heart bypass. We are all wishing Ian a speedy recovery and our thoughts and prayer on behalf the Melton club and Tetsudo Association 🙏🏽❤️

We're very proud to announce that the Melton club's instructor, Andy Patel, has been bestowed the Association’s most prestigious Blackbelt Instructor of the Year Award.
Head of the art-form, Guru BS Dhaliwal, presented the award and had these words to share:
“So often in the life of an organisation it is the singular drive and passion of a small group of people that helps to seeing the organisation through difficult times.
Ustad Andy Patel has been that pivotal figure, his contribution to seeing the Tetsudo Association through the difficult times of the past two years has been beyond measure.
I am personally indebted to his huge input and guidance, taking responsibility and carrying out roles requiring tremendous effort, patience and energy.
Ustad Andy Patel is a great Ambassador for the art and fully deserves the recognition as Instructor of the Year”.
