Melton & Belvoir SSPAN is a network which includes the School Games Organiser, Head Teachers, PE Staff and Melton Sport & Health Alliance who work in partnership to develop and deliver a wide range of fixtures, competitions and festivals promoting competitive sport between the local primary schools, secondary schools and FE colleges. Competition is an integral element of the Melton and Belvoir School Sport Partnership and we strive to ensure that there are opportunities for all young people to enjoy and compete in a range of competitive sports, with clear pathways to county events and beyond. The School Games is the national approach to competitive school sport designed to motivate and inspire millions of young people across the country to take part in more competitive sport. Delivered locally by Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport and School Sport & Physical Activity Networks (SSPAN). The School Games provides a year-round calendar of competition for all students across the county, involving young people aged 7-18 years, of all abilities and backgrounds.

⛳ INSPIRE KS2 Golf Festival ⛳

With thanks to Your School Games funding from Active Together | Let's Get Moving, Long Field Spencer Academy was delighted to host an INSPIRE KS2 Golf Festival, supported by Alex from The Golf Foundation and our local golf professional Tony Westwood - The Mind Fit Golf Coach from

Participating schools took part in a carousel of six fun and engaging golf activities, delivered by student leaders from Long Field. A particular highlight was the involvement of a group of young carers who had previously completed an eight-week golf programme during the last academic year. Keen to put their newly developed skills into practice, they took on leadership roles and confidently delivered activities to pupils from local primary schools.

The festival provided a fantastic opportunity for young people to develop their leadership skills, inspire younger participants, and showcase the positive impact of inclusive sporting opportunities within our community.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in making the event such a success. 👏⛳🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♂️

Our Race League is back to Melton THIS SATURDAY! 🚴

Join us at Asfordby Football Club for an entry-level race league running from September to June, a great opportunity aimed at those racing for the first time or not regularly racing at a high level. All off-road bikes with "knobbly" tyres are permitted.

If riders would prefer to race for fun and experience and forget that their race is part of a league that's absolutely fine!

Categories are based off the rider's age from September 1st 2026 and must remain in that category throughout the series. If riders would prefer to race in an older category they're more than welcome to but again must remain within that category throughout the series.

There will be no medals on the day, instead trophies will be awarded at the end of the series.
This will be determined by a best of 6 rounds from a possible 10.
Rider's must take part in a minimum of 6 races to be in for a chance of winning a trophy.

Each race will have a mandatory practice lap just before the race starts.

No electric bikes including balance bikes.

Strictly riders only on the course at all times.

Refreshments available from Asfordby FC Clubhouse - What’s On bar all afternoon 😊

No licenses or memberships are required.

Although we do accept entries on the day, the rate is slightly higher for these and we're unable to reserve a space therefore we recommend entering online as far in advance as you can...
