Dowlais Wado-Kai karate Club is based in the Dowlais Engine House and run by senior instructor Ryan Galeozzi 5th Dan The club teaches ‘Traditional Karate'.
A well established and successful karate club with many years of experience. Affiliated to the Wado-Kai Karate Union (WKKU), the Welsh Karate Governing Body (WKGB) which in turn provides affiliation to the British Karate Federation (BKF). Classes are on Tuesday & Thursday and cater for students from beginner to advanced levels. We have a team of experienced and qualified instructors and all have clean DBS checks (formerly CRB), First Aid Cerification and Child Protection training.

A very successful club grading last night conducted by Sensei Gwyn, all passed with a very high standard but special mention to Adam that left it all on the dojo floor. Nothing makes me more proud as an instructor than seeing my students improve and progress in their martial arts journey

Recruiting new members from 11 years old and up. No previous experience or training needed. Just the willingness to learn and to try. Great for mental health, physical health and to make some new friends. Open through the summer holidays, why not come give it a go
