An absolute cracking game of football in sunny Middlesbrough today⚽️⚽️

The boys were went out with a clear messaged today (Start Fast)…. That didn’t happen Thirsk came out the blocks flying and scored an off side goal (lineman had a stinker) inside 5 minutes 🤦‍♂️ an early injury saw Lewis H***e come off on the 9th minute disrupting our system. 0-1

Thirsk dominated the first 20/25 minutes and pulled 2 goals ahead on the 21st minute, it seemed a long way back for the boys from here. 0-2

24 minutes in and Billy Harland holds the ball up brilliantly and then plays Adam clear through on goal 1-2

We started to play football from that point and the game became end to end with thirsk coming close to grabbing a 3rd, we win a free kick just inside the Thirsk half and up steps Billy Harland floating a ball over to Billy Hatfield who is shoved in the back …. Penalty Danny Malcolm steps up and puts it into the corner of the net 2-2

The lads were sent back out with clear instructions and it worked to a tea, we dominated the second half and limiting Thirsk to hitting us on the counter now and then but no clear chances

The last 20 minutes was attacker vs defence and we could have easily scored 3/4 in this period but the Thirsk back line stayed resilient.

Last kick of the game and we should of possibly won it but it wasn’t meant to be, an absolute tremendous game for any spectator to watch 👏

Couple of mentioned today Aiden Lucas winning every dual he had and drove the team forward and Finley Watson an absolute menace at the back again

Motm- Jack Heath this lad has deserved this after just missing out on the starting 11 a couple of times but when he’s called upon he’s absolutely solid, a great performance especially getting a early yellow card but didn’t give his opponent a sniff all game 🔵

🔵Home Game🔵

This Saturday we take on Thirsk Falcon. With both teams starting off the 26/27 campaign brilliantly this could be a brilliant game for the neutral 👍

The squad know exactly what’s expected of them and we look forward to getting out there and putting on a performance that we are proud of 🔵

Redcar town reserves 1 Linthorpe Ac 4

The lads started fast this week and should of been 2 goals up inside 15 mins but it wasn’t meant to be 🤦‍♂️

The first goal came from a cleared corner and Billy Harland was sat at the edge of the box and struck it goal bound, a couple of deflections later and it’s nestled in the side netting 0-1 ⚽️

Redcar made it 1-1 just before half time after we failed to convert a couple more chances. They punished us on the break 1-1 ⚽️⚽️

Half time came and the management made a couple of tactical changes and it worked straight away Lewis H***e bouncing the ball into Billy who touched it round the corner 👀 to Liam waters who’s slotted it calmly around the keeper 1-2 ⚽️⚽️⚽️

We kept searching for the 3rd to kill the game and it came in the 59 minute when Aiden Lucas delivered a beautiful corner into the box the ball was bouncing around and Billy Hatfield got onto it first and smashed it into the corner of he goal 1-3 ⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️

The lads were in total control after that and you could see them enjoying themselves a quote from the Redcar manager “There taking the p*ss out of you” 👏

81 minutes and the game is done Billy Hatfield plays a wonderful ball over the top of the back line with Liam Waters running onto it 🔥a unbelievable first touch sees him skip past the cb and curl it into the far corner 👏 1-4

It’s nice to see the squad starting fast this week and also enjoying there football ⚽️ we have to take that into every game and hopefully get the results our performances deserve 🔵

Motm- this could of gone to a hand full of players today but once again Lewis H***e was different level to think he’s a Cb and creates so many chances for us aswell as being like a brick wall at the back is unbelievable. He’s that good at stopping stuff I’d have a bet that he’d stop the small boats in the Channel 🔥

This week we are away to Redcar Town Reserves. This has the makings of a very exciting game with both sides having a great start to the season 👏 The games are coming thick and fast for the squad and we are absolutely loving it 👍 We look to build on last weekends result and performance and keep building to where we want to be ⚽️💙

We’d like to announce the re signing of ⚽️Terry Carline⚽️ we are absolutely buzzing to get this one over the line again. Terry previously played for the club at the start of last season but after half a season decided to go and help his friends out at the Nash 🤦‍♂️😢 We’ve been expecting this one to come through for a while but it’s nice for him to finally come back HOME 🔵 The boys are all excited to get back playing with him because they know the quality of the player and we can’t wait to see what the future holds 💙
