This Sunday we welcome “Redcar rangers” to the Harold Wilson! Redcar are currently flying high in the league but as always! No team against the black and orange of the mighty Nash will be in for an easy game and this week the lads are more than up For it and looking to Get back To winning ways!

FINALLY A HOME GAME IN 2026 - it’s only took till march but it’s finally come!

The first home game of 2026 and a huge task we had on our hands against current league leaders “shildon AFC youth”

After a disappointing display last week the lads were out to out amends to that and by god is that what they done!

First half underway the lads straight out the blocks putting the Shildon back line under some serious pressure!! Creating a number of chances but not leading to anything clear until midway into the first half a quick nash throw in and 35/40 yards out! Midfield maestro will, had a cheeky little Attempt and dinked the keeper! BOOM! 1-0 Nash juniors and nothing less that the lads deserved! Shildon created a few chances but nothing of any note and most of the chances were weak attempts from outside the box! It’s was the might Nash that then came closest to adding to the scoreline when a long clearance from Shildon landed on ollies left foot! From in his own half a good 50/55 yards out caught the ball as sweet as he could the ball rising into the clouds! Hitting about 4 birds in the sky before coming down heading over the keeper the crown stood mouths gaping thinking noooooo wayyyyy what a strike!!! For the ball to bounce and hit the base of the post!! This would have been the best goals EVER score on the Harold Wilson of it went it! IDST! But it never and some how Shildon got 2 goals before half time to take the lead! How we go in down was crazy!! But what a first half from the lads!

Second half and Shildon seeing much more of the ball in this half! Chances few and far between either side! A wreckless challenges from the away side gout unnoticed! Shildon get a few goals making it 4-1 before things got very heated! Ref pulled everyone in had a chat and things got back underway! Unfortunately having only played 3 times in 3 months told as the legs gave way in the last 10/15 minutes! Resulting in Shildon getting a few more goals!

Don’t let this score line fool you! This is as a much better performance from the lads and credit to each and every one of them!

This Sunday we take on top of the league “Shildon AFC Raider” a brilliant side that we previous played and come away the wrong end of a 5-1 score line but this Sunday we welcome them to the thornaby fortress which is the mighty Harold Wilson! A proper old school Sunday league pitch! Not a luxury 3G pitch that Shildon played us on! The balls in our back garden this time round and we will be looking to put a dent in Shildon a title hopes!

This is our 4th time at trying to get a home game in 2026 so please can we try and get a huge following out for these lads and if your wanting a double football fix then Thornaby Nash FC are on before us and kick off at 10:30 against Redcar CF!

Last Friday night we travelled to catterick to take on Catterick Village Junior Football Club!

The manager asking the lads to win the toss and play into the Gail force wind in the first half! This massively backfired and the manager needs to hold his hands up for this! As the first half kicks off the Nash lads under heavy pressure for catterick the wind playing. A massive part in this! The pressure eventually took its toll on the lads and catterick score from a corner that’s cleared out to about 25 yards out and the Catterick player over head kicks it top corner! You DONT save those! Incredible finish! This was the start of some incredible finishes from catterick! Who go in at half time 5-0 up! 4 of the best strikes that Nash juntios have ever conceded! The wind helped massively in the first half but the few times the wind dropped the Nash lads had a few bright moments!

The manager tries his Best to give the lads a bit of a boost but the lads are deflated and take this into the second half! With the wind completely vanishing and not helping us like it did catterick in the first half the lads struggled and catterick got a few more goals, few changers were made and the game changers did just that and gave the team a BIG lift! In the last 10/15 minutes we say glimpse of what the lads can do and caused catterick a few problems and the Nash lads got a deserved goal! The game gaming 8-1!

Tough result and performance! If you take away the wind and the worldie strikes then maybe the lads would have had a little more confidence but the manager takes this on the chin as he was the one who asked the lads to kick into the wind first half and this done all the damage to the lads and the score line!
