Positive response from last week. We had bare 11 and Batty on the bench, so bare 11.

Doggy let down by some of the better players and Luke not turning up.

They could’ve had many more goals than the 3 tbf.

A nervy start until the gaffer realised it was Reecey Ten Names at CB. Shackles were off.

Good run out all in all. All the best to Mac and the lads for the rest of the season - they deserve better than the scoreline tbf, but Mac probs knows it’s coming. Gods day, Bunting and Griffin as a vicar. All love ❤️💒

Today’s The Flooring Gurus man of the match has been handed to this man between the sticks today Luke Pink. Could of 100% been a different story going in at half time today with some outstanding saves, don’t know what you had for breakfast today but have it again next week👏🏻

North Ormesby WMC 4-2 Priestfields.

Finally a result for the boys today and our first 3 points on the table! 👏🏻

We tried something different today, utilising the strikers we had available. Knowing it’s a tough formation to play and can leave you a little leaky at the back, it was vital that we took our chances and that’s exactly what we did.

Priestfields also tried to use the formation to their advantage but couldn’t seem to find the back of the net, as Pinky between the sticks must’ve had his Weetabix this morning! 😂🧤 Nothing looked like getting past him.

We could’ve gone into half-time 4-0 up, but the Priestfields keeper pulled off a save from our penalty just before the break.

The second half came and we thought we were flying, looking to get plenty of minutes into the subs. But Priestfields came out firing, throwing everything at us and putting us on the back foot for large periods.

The manager decided to switch things up and shut up shop at the back, especially when it looked like we weren’t going to get much more going forward.

Priestfields managed to bring it back to 3-2, but a lovely ball from new lad Luke Owen put Carl Matthews one-on-one with the keeper, and Carl kept his cool to make it 4-2! 👏🏻

Then shortly after our fourth with around 10 minutes to go, the game came to a halt as a bit of handbags broke out on the opposition sideline and someone had to be removed from the area🫣🤣

Once things settled down, the game got back underway and the lads saw it through to secure a massive three points.

Good to see some new faces down and involved today as well👏🏻

A much-needed win, plenty to build on and hopefully the start of something positive.

Less said about today the better, disastrous start to the campaign for the team seeing us suffer our second defeat in as many outings.

Well done to South Bank on taking advantage of our deflated squad.

North Ormesby WMC FC 2-3 Coulby Newham

Not how we envisioned our opening game in the Premier Division.

We started slowly and struggled to get into our rhythm. Coulby capitalised with a long ball over the top before finishing brilliantly to make it 1-0.

We kept pushing for an equaliser, but it just wouldn’t come. A costly mistake at the back allowed Coulby to react quickly with the throw and quick football then fire home another excellent finish into the top corner.

2-0 to Coulby at half-time.

After a positive team talk, we came out determined to get ourselves back into the game. A few tactical changes were made, and we decided to be more direct, which suited us much better.

As we pushed forward, we left ourselves open on the counter. Coulby’s third came from what looked like a fortunate cross that looped over Lew in goal and into the net.

At 3-0, you’d of thought that was us dead and buried but it wasn’t, we kept fighting showing character but came off short and could only manage to get 2 back. We felt hard done by as we knew we should have came out with something form that game.

Plenty of positives to take, especially the reaction and determination shown in the second half.

We dust ourselves down, learn from it, and go again next week👍🏻
