The Tournament – Ring Talents Event Details!

SEMI Professionals weigh ins ONLY will be the day before as discussed.

All other fighters to weigh in on the day of the event at the event venue:

Teesside University Students' Union (The Hub)
Southfield Rd, Middlesbrough TS1 3BA

WEIGH IN will be held at 12 o’clock mid-day.

If you do not make this weigh in then the only other time you can weigh in at 4pm! There is no guarantee that I can record your opponent’s weigh in if you were not here!

All bouts will be weighed in kg with a 0.5kg allowance.

MEDICAL is at 3pm.

RULES MEETING 4.30pm (If you don’t attend then you can’t moan about the rules if you don’t follow them and are disqualified for foul play!)

All Tournament Undercard fighters will be supplied with gloves and shinpads. (You may wear your own but only after inspection from the referee. (14oz)

All other K1 fights are fought in 10oz gloves. We will have some available however I find most people prefer their own but they must be of a good condition and approved by the referee!

Please remember all your kit, gumshield and groin guard (Including Boxers) and shin pads for amateur K1 bouts. K1 fighters please cut your toenails we don’t want daggers slashing your opponent! (They will be checked!)

3 Corner bands per team! Which will only be available from me at the rules meeting!

PLEASE CAN LOCAL FIGHTERS MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO BRING TICKET MONEY IN DURING FIGHT WEEK.

ALL UNSOLD TICKETS MUST BE RETURNED AT YOUR WEIGH INS! ANY UNSOLD TICKETS NOT RETURNED WILL BE CONSIDER SOLD/PAID FOR OR THEY WILL BE VOIDED!

All that’s left is to enjoy your day! Enjoy your fight! For the majority of you this is a hobby OR even a one-off experience. There should be no animosity or stupid behaviour from you, your team or your friends and family. If you disagree with a decision please do not cause a scene and speak with the referee after the bout in the break/end of the event. THIS IS A FAMILY EVENT AND PROFESSIONALLY RUN FROM START TO FINISH. PLEASE BE PROFESSIONAL AT ALL TIMES!

Oh and wrap your selves in cotton wool because we have already had the fight week injury curse. Your training should not be so intense on the final week of training!
