Yesterday it was our pleasure to host Folland.b.c for our last friendly of the season. It was lovely to meet you all and we hope you enjoyed your visit - come back again soon.

It has been our pleasure to again welcome children from Milford on Sea Primary School PFA to introduce them to the game of bowls, let them “have a go” and hopefully introduce this as a possible new hobby for them. As always it’s not just the children that get a lot of fun out of these sessions, we do too. Hope to see you again next year.

Today we have the pleasure of welcoming Winchmore Hill Bowling Club for a friendly at Milford. The weather has cleared up after the much needed rain yesterday so it should be a good afternoon. Enjoy !

Note. The winner of The Young Cup, Chris Hobby was unavailable for the photos as was Kevin Beasant who was a joint runner up in the Dawson Cup.

Today is the day everyone has been working towards - Club Finals Day. The weather is fab and the scene is set for a great day. Hope everyone enjoys themselves.

Who else agrees?

🥇 THE SCOREBOARD ONLY TELLS YOU WHO WON… IT DOESN’T TELL YOU HOW. 🎯🔥

Every bowler knows there’s a story behind those numbers.

It doesn’t show the bowl that somehow saved FOUR SHOTS when the head looked impossible. 😳

It doesn’t show the teammate who kept saying, “We’re still in this.” when everyone else thought the game was gone.

It doesn’t show the fight it took to come back from 6–15 down… one end, one shot, one bowl at a time. 💪

It doesn’t show the toucher.
The unlucky wick.
The bowl that missed by millimetres.
The pressure on the final end.
Or the teammate who quietly held everyone together.

The scoreboard records the RESULT.

❤️ But the bowlers remember the STORY.

And sometimes… the greatest games you ever play aren't the ones you win. They're the ones that show you what you're made of.

What a fantastic Club Milford on Sea BC is - another fabulous day, this time the more senior members of the club showing everyone how good they are. Lots of great bowls all played very competitively but the underlying theme of the day was the shared great respect and friendship for each other.

The inaugural Octogenarians Plus singles trophy was won by Keith Rippingale who beat Judy Spooner in a closely fought final.

Thanks to the sponsors Dexcom and to all the back room people who organised everything and helped make the day the big success it was. Another annual trophy competition to add to our calendar.

Proud to represent our Club at the New Forest Woman’s Bowling Association’s Club championships today played at Waterside BC. We didn’t progress through to the finals but we had some close and enjoyable games.

Another busy weekend at our Club started on Friday with the annual Ladies v Gents Competition. Despite the Ladies best efforts and winning one rink and drawing on another, the Gents won the match. However the Club won over all as it just highlighted what a great bunch of people our members are. We had to use 7 rinks to accommodate everyone so it was great to see so many people on the green at the same time. It was a fabulous afternoon with lots of great bowls, good humour and a scrumptious tea at the end!
