Let’s talk periods: luteal phase!
Once ovulation has taken place, our estrogen and testosterone levels drop, and our progesterone takes over. This is when you might experience PMS symptoms.
The drop in hormones also means a drop in energy. Your body will no longer be in heavy muscle building mode, and will want to start slowing down. Focus on mobility workouts, small strength sessions and yoga.

Your hormones are at their peak! You will feel your best, you will be ready and raring to go for any form of workouts.
This is the part in the cycle to push your body, up the intensity, go for that PB, go for longer runs.
With upping the intensity, make sure to stretch & look after your body to reduce impact of injuries.

Let’s talk periods: the follicular phase!
Your body has realised it’s the end of your period and signals for a rise of energy. Your hormones, estrogen and testosterone begin to rise too.
Take advantage of this new energy. Gentle cardio, long walks, Pilates, energised yoga flows. Go swimming, go biking, maybe try some new dance moves!
