We arenโt too sure of the history of this house, but it seems to be crumbling away despite still having possessions of the previous owner inside. The smell was coming from the upstairs toilet that had been defecated in and now had things living in there ๐คข๐
There were still items left from the owner, who must have been a handy person due to all the tools in the place! The garden was absolutely huge as well! There was a planning application to turn the house and land into 6 houses but has been refused multiple times โ

The jar house ๐ซ๐๏ธ
Up for auction, this little house is still full of the past owners life. Photos were scattered in the front room and hearing aids upstairs placed perfectly in the case.
When we first went in here we thought there was someone in the bed as it was so neatly made and tucked!

The Abandoned Millionare Saudi Mansion ๐๐คฉ
Complete with a tree house and gardens that were created by the same landscapers that did Buckingham palace, this million ยฃ mansion sits derelict after the owners just upped and left one day. The mansion has been frozen since then, however it has been subject to damage over time ๐ฐ๏ธ
While we were here the care taker spoke to us and explained that he looks after the house and heโs not sure why they left but it was used as a holiday home before. He told us the mansion was built by the Willโs family who were tabbacoo merchants. The house and the grounds are exquisite, itโs such a shame that itโs been left! ๐

Auction house ๐๏ธ๐ ๏ธ
This tucked away little auction house we found with a few bits still left in it. I couldnโt find much info on it but we hope itโs bought because itโs in such a lovely area with so much garden! ๐ชด
Enjoy the photos!

Roadside find 1 ๐๐ฌ
Good morning! We are are off our for our final day of exploring today.. with a lot of pins to cover ๐คฉ
This was a roadside find we found, the house is not accessible and is being held up by temporary scaffold tubes after what looks like a fire. There are a lot of cars on the property which were cool, and it looks like a workshop too! We have a few videos as well which will be uploaded in due course ๐บ

The left behind Cow Bungalow pt 1 ๐ฎ๐๏ธ
Tucked away on a small hill, this little bungalow is still home to lots of little cows once loved by the owner. We are not too sure on the history of this place or what is happening with it as it looks like some stuff has been moved out and other bits are being packed away/left. Itโs a tiny time capsule even with what remains!
Throughout the bungalow there are small snippets of the characters that once lived there, with the sticker collection on the door, the many Russian history books, the decorative cows and plenty of postcards from friends ๐
We have many more pictures which we will upload as well in a pt 2 ๐คฉ

Happy Saturday! Our first explore of the day. Not much history on this place as the main house was not accessible. Still an interesting workshop around the back with old caravans!

Abandoned animal rendering plant ๐ญ๐
A series of derelict workshops, a rundown boiler house, crushing plant and large water tank make up this eerie seven acre site. Opened in the 60s as a saw mill, the site was later transformed into a animal rendering plant.
The potentially contaminated site rose to prominence in the 1990s for its part in managing Mad Cow Disease ๐ฆ
It was one of five UK sites tasked with disposing the remains of cattle infected with Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE). There are fears that the soil around the site is still contaminated despite being closed for around 17 years.
When the site was open, there were many reports of Lorrieโs spilling animal remains along the roads leading to the mill. Apparently the smell was almighty, and there were even reports of local residents seeing the heads and legs of deceased contaminated animals sticking out of the skips on the way to the mill despite being covered with tarpaulins.
The site had plans to be developed into a mini housing estate in 2017 but it was halted by a local resident due to environmental impact assessment into potential land contamination being required for any works to being.

Abandoned Inn with police tape ๐ค๐ซจ
This 10 room Inn nestled in a quaint little village, sits eerily silent with police tape and warnings around it. The Inn still has a lot left in it despite the mould and water seeping throughout, and itโs a shame because in 2020 it had glowing reviews from what we can find. Another news article says the opposite, with mouse traps in the bedrooms and frozen food served to guests ๐
It hosted weddings and events throughout its years, with a roaring fireplace in the bar area to keep the warm atmosphere.
Not sure if squatters have been here as well as the smell upstairs wasnโt most pleasant, and there were signs of recent lodgings in the beds. Walking into the room with the 4 poster bed and seeing the Bible displayed made us feel a little uneasy ๐
๐ฌ
Itโs listed for ยฃ1 million on the market with hopes that it will be returned to its former glory after Covid closed its doors ๐ชโ

Antique hoarder house which cost taxpayers ยฃ43k ๐ซจ๐๏ธ๐ท pt 1
A beautifully chaotic house was once home to a farmer who lived alone since the 1980s, and collected many antiques and valuables. The farmer was described as โa slightly eccentric individual who lives in a certain amount of dereliction and chaosโ in 2009. He was fined by the council for littering on his land, after it was found the land littered with broken vehicles and waste. His defence claimed that he was unfit to plead because he suffered from a โhoarding disorderโ.
The court rejected this and the owner was sentenced to a four-month prison sentence suspended for two years. He said he was unable to afford representation and was waiting on his application for Universal Credit to come through.
He faces a unlimited financial fine.
The owner was even subject of a targeted burglary because he had so much stuff that was of value many years ago.
We took over 200 pictures of this place as it was just so full and it had so many buildings on the site as well. So much stuff that will just be left to nature.
