I’m Carol, hi! I started off as an unfit 36 year old mum of 3 young kids wanting to lose weight. I started exercising and got it all a bit wrong for a year. I lost a lot of weight which I thought would bring me joy, but instead it fed an unhealthy obsession with extremes…under eating, over exercising and craving constant results. I couldn’t get the life balance right, I thought being thin was the answer to being healthy and happy. It wasn’t. I was my most miserable at my lowest bodyweight. Unsurprisingly, I don’t have many photos of me to show during this period of my life.

7 years ago I went to college and qualified as a PT. In the past 7 years I have focused on creating an environment for women to start their fitness journey that I wish I had available to me 8 years ago.

I want women to lift heavy weights safely, confidently and consistently.

I want every person to feel comfortable regardless of experience, ability and fitness level. Everyone starts at the beginning and everyone improves.

I want my clients to prioritise strength, habit and longevity over weightloss. This doesn’t mean losing weight isn’t important if you feel you need to, or have been told by medical professionals that you need to. I will never assume any client needs to lose weight unless they tell me. Some of my fittest clients are not the smallest, and some of my smallest clients are not the healthiest.

I want my clients to understand that although exercise and diet are complimentary partners they are mutually exclusive. Eat a nutritionally balanced diet because good food is glorious!
Exercise habitually because it sorts your head out and greatly increases the ability to get off the loo unaided in your 90’s.

I want the women that come to me to leave every single session feeling accomplished, strong, confident and 💯 better for coming!

I am not a shouty army bootcamp coach if that’s what floats your boat! There are plenty other amazing ones out there to choose from. I practice gentle coaching and more likely to hug you than make you do burpee’s.

I want you to fall in love with strength training and do it for the rest of your life.

This is the 8am Saturday bootcamp squad…showing up 7 hours after the bo**ie Christmas party finished! Most of us (mainly me) still drunk but we woke up, showed up, lifted, laughed and breathed in the wet, fresh air.

There is no better cure for a hangover than a good work out with great people.

This is Huxley. My 7 year old baby boy of the family. It took me a few years to get used to him and to find any form of love for him, growing up I hailed from a no pet family. It took a while to find affection, it was a whole new experience and especially with 3 small kids in tow I had my work cut out.

We all know pets age quickly. To witness it before your eyes whilst struggling with your own frustration with aging is hard.

Hux will hold on to his wee all day to avoid going outside in the rain. He would quite happily never go on a walk ever again, snoring on the kids sofa is his happy place. However, once outside he loves it!

We love him. I love him, so much. And we want him to be with us forever, ignoring his horribly fast aging process. So we are strict with what he eats and we walk him to keep his waistline trim and joints healthy.

Us humans may age slower than a bulldog, but we are aging. Every second in fact. Yet we can do so much to enhance our aging process. Regular exercise being the number one method of living a healthier, more independent less injury prone life.

We can all resonate with a bulldog. Can’t be arsed, too wet, too cold, sofa too comfy. But Huxley has a personal trainer for a mum so I get his arse moving.

Maybe it’s a coach you need to get moving. Come along to bootcamp my little bulldogs!

Love me some Saturday morning feedback 🤗🤗🤗 especially when it’s from a gorgeous human .

We all see you Lucy, your transformation continues to be epic, your 3 x a week dedication is working and you are such a valuable member of the squad. We’re thankful for sissy dragging you by your hair to bo**ie, I know you felt sick after your first session but look at you now. We couldn’t imagine bootcamp without you both ❤️

This weekend I hiked up Snowdon with 3 of my favourite people and my head is clear and my heart is full.

Get yourself a and book that weekend away. Walk in nature. Fill your rucksack with snacks and 🤌🏽and fish out those walking boots. Choose great company. Push your body to go the extra mile. Talk about anything and everything, hug, laugh, cry and laugh some more.

We walked 35k steps and burnt 3000 calories but that was not the goal. We spent quality time together in the sunshine and I’ll remember this weekend for many years to come.

Take me back to Snowdon.
