To swim in 50 unique outdoor locations, swimming in lakes, rivers, the sea, lidos and outdoor pools.

So this was more of a dip than a swim but the chilly Welsh stream was just what I needed this morning.
Surrounded by dense woodland, bird song and the babbling water.

I started this page a few years ago when I had signed up for my first 10km swim, which didn't happed because of the lockdown.
My love of outdoor swimming has grown and grown since 2020 and so I wanted to share some of my swims and the photos I take.
In June this year I was 50 and I want to swim in 50 different outdoor locations, pools, rivers, lakes and the sea, through the year in celebration.
I am now up to location 27, including 12 different outdoor pools/lidos.
All suggestions of new places that I can dip, splash or swim gratefully received.

Here is Megan, one of our life guards at Woburn Lido enjoying the Wild Moose robe that our fundraising bought. I was so happy to be able to get a robe for the life guards to wear through the winter as well as there being plenty money left over for essential equipment as well.
Thank you all for your support and donations. Including gift aid the total for Woburn Lido and Chagford Swimming pool was over £1000.:
Thank you

Here are a few pics taken during the swim on my GoPro. I think you’ll have to agree we were very lucky to be able to swim in such a beautiful place.

I am very proud to be able to say that through the generous donations £875 has been raised for Chagford Pool and Woburn Lido.

Thank you so much for all your support and encouragement.

And maybe one day I’ll get to swim Windermere, one day.

So not quite the day we had planned due to being down by Uswim Adventures, who’s second boat also broke down.
So we decided to swim End to End of Coniston Waters instead.
4 hours and 44 minutes and 9338m later Sam and I reached the southern end of the lake. Such a beautiful place to swim.
We couldn’t have done it without our hubbies Adrian and Greg who supported us from the shore, providing sustenance and encouragement throughout the day.
A true sense of achievement overcoming adversity and not letting it get in the way of our love of swimming.

Absolutely gutted. The boat we were due to be using has broken down so our swim of Windermere is off.
Sam and I are instead going to swim Coniston and see how far we get.

Sam is here so now it’s really real. Tomorrow we will be swimming from swim one end of this beautiful lake to the other.
Very excited about it now.

Today’s swim across Coniston was lovely. Strava on my phone wasn’t quite right about how fast I went but it was lovely getting to the other side and looking back to where I’d come from.
Also like the fact my swim was pretty straight. This is something I’ve been working on as it’s always been a weakness of mine.
