Can’t believe this was 11 years ago!

Being part of Linton ‘BIG SWARM’ Vassell fight team and cornering him for the Bellator Dynamite card in San Jose was such an amazing experience.

Coaching fighters was always something I wanted to do when I started in the industry, with MMA being my favourite sport since I was a young lad.

I feel really privileged to have worked with and met so many talented people during that part of my life. Some great memories.

I don’t think you’ll ever get that many legends in the same place at the same time again. It was a one-off crazy event.

It was clear from my initial consultation with Steve that his body wasn’t functioning optimally.

Based on a few things that flagged up, I suspected there was a hormonal imbalance, so we got some blood work done.

After looking into the results further, we identified a number of issues that were holding him back from achieving the physique he wanted.

We put a plan in place to address those issues, and the results came quickly.

If your body isn’t functioning properly internally, it’s going to be much harder to build muscle and lose body fat.

Sometimes you have to look beyond the obvious to find out what’s really going on, especially as you get older.

The right TRT protocol and peptide plan, combined with specific nutrition and training strategies, were what Steve needed—not just another generic plan.

This one is special to me because Oz is my boy and a top, top guy.

He came to me a while ago in a bad place physically and was determined to change himself for the better.

We worked on and off for a while until he fully locked in over the last few months.

Getting to know him and how his body responds, and knowing exactly which protocols would work best for him, didn’t happen overnight.

We eventually found the formula, optimising his hormones with the right supplements and peptides, alongside a training and nutrition plan that allowed him to completely transform his physique.

I’m super proud of him and the journey he’s been on. He’s completely transformed himself on so many levels, and this is only the beginning.

It’s not always a 12-week transformation.

For most people, it takes longer — and there’ll be obstacles along the way.

You can’t undo years of bad habits in a few weeks.

The problem is, people want instant results… and that’s just not how it works.

Brady started with me a couple of years ago, but consistency was the issue — too much stop-start.

Six months ago, he decided enough was enough. Locked in, stayed consistent, and actually followed the plan.

Because we’d already worked together before, we knew exactly what worked for him — training, diet, supplements — and that’s why his progress has taken off over this period.

Most transformation coaches started as personal trainers… I didn’t.

I actually started my career coaching elite athletes.

I specialised in MMA fighters and combat athletes, preparing world-class competitors.

I also worked with professional athletes across a range of sports, including GB-level performers.

That environment taught me a lot — lessons I’ve carried over as I transitioned my coaching.

Now, I use that same knowledge to transform the average gym guy into his best physique — both aesthetically and from a performance standpoint.

Believe it or not, Linton was my very first client. He was actually my case study when I completed my qualifications over 15 years ago.

Over the years, I helped him develop every physical attribute needed for his sport — and as a byproduct, his physique transformed too

Since then, he’s gone on to become one of the best in the world at what he does, across two weight classes, for over a decade.

May as well jump on the 2016 / 10-year challenge.

Back then my life fully revolved around the gym. If I wasn’t training people, I was training myself — there wasn’t much time for anything else.

I was delivering 40–50 in-person PT sessions a week with only one day off, and honestly loving it for the most part. I was passionate about getting real results with people.

At the same time, I was training myself nearly every day, and a lot of the time twice a day because I loved it so much back then. I actually had to force myself to take a day off.

I was fully focused on competing and building the best physique I possibly could. That year I won the East Midlands show and competed at the British Finals.

I also had a great bunch of clients getting fantastic results — some of them were competing and winning shows too.

It’s mad how much the industry has changed in the last 10 years. Some good, some bad.

It’s great that fitness has become more popular and there are some brilliant coaches and pages out there giving solid information and genuinely helping people.

On the flip side, it’s also saturated with extremely low-quality coaches with no real-world experience of getting results and zero qualifications.

Being in the trenches teaches you things you simply can’t fully learn online or even on courses.

A lot of the best results I get with people are the first part of the year

When motivation is high and with less social distractions it’s an ideal time to get your head down

If you get into good habits early it’s much easier to stay consistent with them throughout the year

7 weeks into a new programme and new training style

For years now I’ve been in a maintenance phase just doing little cuts here and there for holidays

But I was bored of training and loosing motivation so decided I needed a switch up

Pin pointed a couple areas to work on and set up a new split and different way of training

7 weeks in I’ve made some good progress and fully motivated to train again

Few kilos up in the right places and condition maintaining

Just plain old TRT but I will be experimenting with some peptides within a month or two

Sometimes all it takes is a switch up to gain a whole new focus again which then also translates to other aspects of life

3 phases. 1 goal: transform physique.

A lot of people try and do too many things at once and don’t fully commit to one goal

It’s always best to split things up into different phases and really focus on 1 thing at a time

Here’s exactly how we approached it:

Phase 1 – CUT
Goal: strip fat + improve muscle balance + improve insulin sensitivity
Focus: high protein / strategic incremental calorie deficit / progressive lifts

Phase 2 – LONG LEAN BULK
Goal: build QUALITY mass in the right areas without unnecessary fat gain + change set points
Focus: small incremental surplus + strength progression + food structure

Phase 3 – CUT (current)
Goal: reveal the new muscle we built + push conditioning
Focus: calorie precision + controlled energy expenditure + supplement optimisation

None of this was random.
It was sequenced.
Planned.
Measured.
