⚽💙 A SHOUTOUT TO A LOCAL FOOTBALL HERO… 500+ GAMES AND COUNTING!

A huge congratulations to David Keene, manager of Old Bradwell United FC, who is celebrating an incredible milestone this weekend after more than 500 games in charge.

David’s first game as manager came on 1st December 2012, away to Wolverton Town, with Old Bradwell winning 3-2.

Apparently, he only took the job in the first place to shut his father-in-law up 😂

Safe to say, that decision turned into something pretty special.

Now in his 15th season, David’s record stands at:

* 503 games
* 307 wins
* 52 draws
* 144 defeats
* 1,293 goals scored
* 678 conceded
* 166 clean sheets
* 22-game longest winning streak
* 14-2 biggest win
* 61% win rate
* 6 trophies

But his impact goes far beyond results.

In 2021, David helped introduce youth football at the club, starting with just two youth teams.

Old Bradwell United now has six, with around 10 players going on to represent the club’s adult teams during that time.

He’s been a huge part of keeping the club moving forward, helping create opportunities for young players and giving countless hours to grassroots football in Milton Keynes.

So this one is simply a massive…

Old Bradwell United is looking for new players to join our Under 8s team!

Are your little ones eager to get playing? We are welcoming children in School Years 2 and 3 to come and be part of our team! All skill levels are welcome!

Details:

Training: Fridays, 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

And that’s a wrap!

The 3rd season for the OBUFC comes to a close.

Getting boring now but Ross Butler takes his 3rd consecutive title. However, in a surprising display of brotherly love, he 3 putts the 18th to let Liam win today’s event.

Another superb season, back again in September.

❤️ WHY WE DO MUZZFEST - FOR MUZZA ❤️

In the build-up to Muzzfest, we'll talk plenty about what's happening on the day - the music, sport, raffle, food and drink.

But Muzzfest exists for one reason.

Aaron "Muzza" Murray. 🖤🤍

For those of us who knew Aaron, Muzzfest is a chance to remember our mate.

To remember the laughs, the stories and the good times.

To remember someone who was part of our football club, our social club and our community - and who is still very much missed by the people who knew and loved him.

Losing Aaron left a space that can't be filled.

But Muzzfest gives us one day each year when we can fill the club with many of the things that remind us of him instead.

Friends. Family. Football. Music. A few beers. Plenty of laughs.

And probably more than a few stories about Muzza that get better every time they're told. 🍻

That's why this day means so much more than simply putting on an event.

It's about keeping Aaron's memory alive.
It's about people coming together because of him.

And it's about taking that love for our mate and turning it into something positive, by raising as much money as we can for fantastic causes in his name. 🖤🤍

Last year, our community came together and made it an incredibly special day.

On Sunday 30th August, we get to do it again.

So come down. Bring your family. Bring your mates. Have a laugh. Make some memories and help us raise as much as we possibly can.

But most importantly...
Come and raise a glass to Aaron. 🍻
