We are having the first club Milton Keynes Sailing club social event of 2022. This year we are planning to hold another 5 events like this throughout the summer and autumn.
It's the start of a new year so why not come down on Saturday 2nd April and get your boat out and have a sail. We will provide rescue cover.
Please, come and meet other members, and if you can't sail, come down and check your boat, make sure it's safely tied down after those winds last month, or maybe just help others rig and launch their boats
And bring some food!!
Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday at 11.

Dear Sailors,
As a result of the current Coronavirus situation, the committee has reluctantly decided that we need to:
1. Cancel all formal club activities for the next 4 weeks
2. Close the clubhouse to any club activities for the next 4 weeks
3. Review situation weekly - to see if any circumstances have changed so we can return to more normal club activities.
4. Members that want to access the lake and compound during this period do so unoffically

Dear Milton Keynes SC,
Abersoch Week- July 21st to 26th
You may remember I contacted you last year regarding Abersoch Dinghy Week. As the 2020 season is rushing towards us our minds at South Caernarvonshire YC are naturally focused on this year's event - the 49th - quietly I'm already thinking of nominating someone to organise the party for the 50th!!
The new fleets introduced last year were a great success and will be back i.e. Catamarans, the Coached Regatta or Rookie Fleet for youngsters (complete with coach and dedicated mother hen RIB) and the Intermediate Fleet, along with the (at least) 12+ other regular fleets. We provide separate starts for individual classes with sufficient numbers (eg RS 200, 400, Fireball, Solo, Laser, Phantom, Moth) and mixed starts for similar handicap boats such as Fast Handicap, Slow Handicap, Asymmetric, Mixed Single Handers etc.
We would be very grateful if you could post the attached flyer on your club website, page or print one off for your noticeboard (or if you prefer I will happily send you a hard copy). Needless to say if we can reciprocate in respect of any of your own events, please don't hesitate to send me details.
The week is family friendly being one race per day of approximately 1.5 - 2 hours in either the morning or afternoon depending on class. Some keen competitors do both morning and afternoon sessions in separate boats.
Abersoch Bay is one of the best sailing venues in the country and we would be delighted to welcome any of your members to South Caernarvonshire Yacht Club in 2020 as we build towards the 50th birthday of Abersoch Dinghy Week.
With thanks in anticipation.
Jon Mills & The Abersoch Dinghy Week team.
