5 signs you’re keeping your belly fat. 1️⃣ You train 4–5 times a week, avoid carbs, add extra cardio after your workouts... yet your stomach still looks exactly the same.

I thought my 40s would look very different.

I never imagined I’d feel stronger, more confident, and honestly... better than ever at 46.

But midlife didn’t break me down.

It became the chapter where I finally started showing up for myself. 🤍

The chapter where I stopped making excuses.
Stopped putting myself at the bottom of the list.
Stopped accepting feeling tired, uncomfortable, and unhappy in my own skin.

Instead, I chose strength.
I chose healthy habits.

🙌Over 20 years separate these two photos and do I ever think about wanting my younger body back? Nope! Not even a little bit! 😜

Sure, I had youth, but that’s about it.

I didn’t have the knowledge, discipline, confidence, experience, balance, or mindset I have now. Growing up, I was insecure, cared way too much about what other people thought, and had no clue who I actually was yet.

So no... I’m not interested in going backwards. 😂

Too many people spend years chasing a version of themselves that only existed because they were younger, not because they were healthier, stronger, happier, or better.

Your goal shouldn’t be to recreate your past.

It should be to keep improving.

Getting older doesn’t automatically mean decline. It means adaptation.

Train smarter.
Build muscle.
Take care of your health.
Manage stress.
Recover properly.
Keep learning.
Keep showing up.

The goal isn’t to look exactly like you did 20 years ago.

The goal is to be the strongest, healthiest, most confident version of yourself today.

Because confidence, knowledge, experience, and self-belief will always beat youth. 💪🏼

And if my younger self looked at me now, I’d like to think she’d say...

“Damn... we turned out alright.” 😝

Can I clear something up before you screenshot this list?

No snack burns body fat.🙌🙌

Not one of these.

Greek yogurt isn’t doing anything magical.
A protein shake isn’t melting fat off your body.
And that “fat-burning” protein bar? Not a thing.

The thing that actually changes your body is being in a calorie deficit consistently over time.

That’s it.

So why am I always banging on about high-protein snacks?

Because they’re what make that deficit something you can actually stick to.

Protein keeps you fuller for longer.
It helps you hold onto the muscle you’re working hard to build.
And it stops that 3pm hunger monster that has you elbow-deep in biscuits before you’ve even realised what’s happened.

The snack isn’t for fat loss.

The snack is what stops you from blowing the whole day by dinner.

Here are the ones I keep repeating:

→ 0% Greek yoghurt with berries.
Around 18g of protein, and it genuinely feels like you’re getting away with something.

→ Vegan Chocolate Prozis Protein Shake.
Around 26g protein. Zero effort. Perfect for those days when your meal prep plans went completely out the window.

→ Cottage cheese with everything bagel seasoning and sliced cucumber.
Roughly 14g of protein, and somehow manages to kill the salty, crunchy craving most diets completely ignore.

→ Turkey slices wrapped around a string cheese.
Sounds like a kid’s lunch. Lands around 16g protein. Takes about 20 seconds to throw together.

→ Two or three hard-boiled eggs.
Around 18g of protein and already waiting for you when hunger decides to make an appearance.

Notice none of these is exotic?

No superfoods.
No metabolism boosters.
No fat-burning ingredients.

Just boring, repeatable foods that help keep your protein high and your hunger under control.

Because fat loss doesn’t come from finding the perfect snack.

It comes from doing the simple stuff consistently enough that the results eventually have no choice but to show up.

Summer is just around the corner… and like every year, everyone suddenly wants results yesterday.

The weather gets nicer, and every park turns into a boot camp.
Hybrid training everywhere.
People are destroying themselves with “HYROX-style” sessions, thinking this is finally the thing that will make them look like pro athletes overnight.

Then come the 6-week small group training programmes.
Online workouts from Instagram influencers with massive followings but very little real education behind them.
Meal plans. Fasting. Juicing. InBody scans. Magic fixes everywhere 😂

And honestly, in a world where people are desperate for quick results and marketing is louder than truth… You can sell almost anything.

But after 20+ years in the fitness industry, I can tell you this:

Most people don’t fail because workouts don’t work.
They fail because they expect quick fixes for problems that have been building for YEARS.

By week 3 they quit.
Not because the plan failed.
Because consistency got uncomfortable.

Changing habits is hard.
Training properly is hard.
Being patient is hard.

That’s why I’ll always believe in doing things differently.

No gimmicks.
No punishing workouts just for social media clips.
No fake promises.

Just smart training that works.
Workouts backed by education and experience.
Showing up week after week.
Learning to trust the process instead of chasing the next trend.

Because real results are not built in 4 weeks.
They’re built through consistency.

So ask yourself honestly:

How many diets have you tried?
How many workout plans?
How many times did you restart?

And now ask yourself this:

Have you ever truly given yourself 6 months of consistency?

Read that again.

Sometimes you don’t need another extreme plan.
