Panos Ioannou won four events, while John Browne, Anthony Moffat and Clint Grabs won two. Emma Beales and Gwyn Wallace were also winners.

Seven MMK men competed in the London 5000m races at Parliament Hill Fields. Five of them set new personal bests.

Leo Freeland knocked two seconds off his best time to climb up to second on the MMK all-time rankings. Chad Lambert and Kian Nicholson both improved by just under half a minute, while Josh Knight reduced his pb by 44 seconds. It was Jordan Pope’s first time at this distance.

News from the British Miler’s Club event at Birmingham University.
Maddie Pearce shattered her 1500m pb running over six seconds quicker than her previous pb, set two years ago, to register a new Club Senior 1500m Record, beating the 4:25.2 set by Linda Dewhirst in 1987.

Good luck to our Masters athletes has they prepare for Match 2 of The EMAC Track & Field League.

The first round of the Eastern Masters’ League was held at Stantonbury. The men lost narrowly to Bedford (6 points) while the women were just pipped for second place (1 point)

John Skelton set a League and Club M75 record in the 1500m (5:24.9), while John Browne (Men’s Track) and Sophie Gibbens (Women’s Field) were the athletes of the match.
