I read an interesting article on LinkedIn this morning about Trivial Benefits from an accounting perspective.
It got me thinking about Trivial benefits from a lockdown perspective. It's so easy to focus on what we've lost and to fear the current situation and what the future might look like. In fact, our brain absolutely demands that we look at the negative.
Looking at the now (and ahead) with optimism takes practice.
Here are a few of my Lockdown Trivial benefits...
😍 Staying in bed later as no travelling to my work gigs
😍 Zoom's 'touch up my appearance' gives me at least two extra days before needing to wash my hair (it takes me ages to dry my hair as I have enough for three people)
😍 My dogs love having me at home all the time
😍 I'm doing more home-cooking
😍 I'm reading more
😍 I've the time to invest in learning new stuff
😍 When I do see or speak to a friend, I value the nourishment it gives me
😍 I absolutely love dressed-up on the top, leggings on the bottom
