We thought it has been a while since we properly introduced ourselves to those of you who train with us every week… and those thinking about joining the Major Fitness family 💪

If he’s not in the gym, you’ll probably find him watching football (a loyal Nottingham Forest supporter ⚽), deep into a murder mystery, or going down a rabbit hole about aliens and parallel universes 👽
(Yes… the dad jokes are very real. Consider yourself warned.)

As a coach, Neil thrives on working closely with individuals—helping you break through obstacles, build better daily habits, and find solutions that actually stick. He’s all about the long game and real, lasting results.

Outside of the gym, it’s musical theatre, taekwondo, and performing in an ABBA band 🎤✨

🚨 Drink Your Water 🚨

No seriously… drink it.
Not coffee ☕
Not wine 🍷 (I see you 👀)
Not your kid’s leftover Capri Sun 🧃

Water. Actual water.

Because here’s the truth…
Half of you walking around saying “I’m hungry” are actually just dehydrated.



💧 Why water matters for fat loss:
• Helps control hunger (you’re not starving, you’re just thirsty)

• Supports metabolism (your body isn’t a cactus 🌵)

• Improves energy (so you actually MOVE more)

• Helps digestion (less bloating, less “what is going on with my stomach” moments)

Keeps your body functioning like a fat-burning machine… not a dried raisin



🤝 Let’s make it EASY (Habit Stack it):

Tie drinking water to things you already do every day:
• Wake up 👉 drink a glass
• Coffee 👉 glass of water after
• Before every meal 👉 glass of water

A huge congratulations to Katy Pillai for being crowned our Member of the Month! 👏

Katy’s journey has been nothing short of inspirational. Starting out in our Fit Mummy sessions and progressing into a consistent, committed Major Fitness member, she has shown incredible dedication, resilience, and drive every step of the way.

Lately, Katy has been putting in some serious hard work as she prepares for the Deadly Dozen event this April and not only is she taking it on… she’s doing it solo 💪🔥

Her determination, positive attitude, and willingness to push outside her comfort zone embody everything we stand for at Major Fitness. She’s proof of what can be achieved with consistency and belief.

The Ugly Side of Being a Coach (Tough Love)

She almost lost it and hung up on me…. 🫣😳

So, I love what I do.

Every day I get to be part of people’s journeys…
Helping them break through barriers, build confidence, and achieve things they once thought were impossible.

But there’s a side of coaching that not many people talk about…

👉 Sometimes, you have to upset people to help them.

Not in a harsh or disrespectful way…
But in a real, honest, no-BS kind of way.

Today I had a conversation with someone who wanted help.

On the surface, she had every reason in the world why things hadn’t worked for her:

❌ Previous coach didn’t check in enough
❌ Kids’ clubs and work = no time
❌ Healthy eating is too expensive
❌ “It’s just not worked for me for 5 years…”

And look… these are REAL challenges.
I get it.

But here’s the truth 👇

When you’re stuck in a negative mindset spiral, everything feels like a barrier.

You see problems instead of solutions.
You look for blame instead of ownership.
And slowly… you stay exactly where you are.

We’ve ALL been there at some point.

Now, I could’ve taken the easy route…

Nodded along.
Agreed.
Moved on to the next enquiry.

But that’s not coaching.

So instead I challenge her, at first she was angry, I actually thought she was going to hang up…

So I asked her something different…

👉 “If this was life or death… would you find a way?”

She paused…

Then said: “Yes.”

So I challenged her.

I said:

“Have you ever heard of the Hero’s Journey?”

Every film. Every great story.

The hero has a goal…
Things go wrong…
They struggle…
They want to quit…

But in the final chapter…

🔥 They dig deep
🔥 They overcome
🔥 They win

And I said:

👉 “That’s YOU right now.”

This isn’t your failure story…
This is your turning point.

You could literally see the shift happen.

Obstacles became challenges.
Challenges became motivation.

And do you know what she said?

“If I actually did this… it would be life changing.”

That’s the moment coaching is really about.

Not the workouts.
Not the meal plans.

👉 The shift.

She starts her 6 Week Programme tomorrow.

And now instead of excuses…

She has a mission.
