Almost 18 years ago, during my interview for Water Babies I cried on Tamsin - my mum had died about a week before and I was an emotional wreck. It was one of the first times I’d met her, I was meant to be showing her how professional I was and why she wanted to employ me and instead I was a blubbering mess. She hugged me so tight, she rubbed my back, she bought me cake and she offered me a job that changed my life!

Tamsin always saw the best in people, she took me under her wing and taught me so much about swim teaching.

Years later when I set up by myself she became a mentor and a cheerleader for me which shows what a wonderful, kind and supportive friend she was.

This photo was taken just after I started working at WB - we were the dream team and such a fantastic collection of amazing teachers.

I will miss Tamsin so much - her enthusiasm for teaching, her passion for running a business, her positivity about life and most of all our wonderful friendship of 18 years. Just like mum, the good ones get taken too early 💔

Baby Ovie and his daddy needs a friend to swim with on a Tuesday morning! Is anyone looking for lessons and wants a small 221 lesson at Holiday Inn in central MK? Ovie is nearly 11 months old but lost his swimming buddy as they’ve gone back to work. Looking fis a baby from around 6 months to 18 months old ideally but can be flexible.

Lessons are £20.50 per baby and he usually swims weekly at 1030 but lessons can be fortnightly.

Since we began at RRF we have always taught our rolling method to our beginners. Right from the start we work on confidence on their back as well as swimming on their front. If a child can roll over and float they are safe in water - that is our thinking and it works. Here is 4 year old Sophie from a few years ago perfecting demonstrating our rolling method. We have 2 x fortnightly spaces for 221 lessons starting in September. These lessons are £28.50 per week and your child will share with another beginner. Oh I do miss teaching gorgeous Blake! She was with us from a baby until this time last year when she started school full time. By the time she started school she had passed Stage 3, swam 25m, could do breaststroke legs, butterfly with arms and legs and bilateral front crawl! She brought amazing joy and energy to every lesson. Time for a flashback to this time last year when Poppy finished her pre-school lessons, demonstrating her amazing life-saving skills. Would your child know what to do if they fell into water? Poppy knew to hold her breath, turn around underwater and swim back to the side. We have some daytime availability for September on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - each lesson is booked individually so you can have weekly, fortnightly or monthly lessons. We have lots of new daytime lessons available for September. Would you like your little one to start school already being able to swim 10m independently? We have the following summer holiday lessons left for July and August.

If your child just needs a few lessons to boost them over the summer holidays, either before they go on holiday to be more confident in the pool or if they are stuck on a certain level in their usual group class this could be the perfect opportunity.

No commitment to booking future lessons - you can just have some summer holiday ones. 121 lessons are £41 and 221 lessons are £28.50.

Siblings can be taught together providing there is a parent in the pool with the teacher.
