I have been overwhelmed by all the love and amazing feedback after my retreat this year. used to come to my spin classes when I freelanced at Virgin but I haven’t seen her for years, so I was so happy she joined me in Spain with her friend who was also a regular in my classes way back when! Dawn has been training regularly for the past 12 months, but this retreat sparked something in her and she wrote me the most brilliant message:

“I have just completed one year of showing up for training consistently and the results have been amazing overall, but recently things felt like they had slowed down a little. Then I went away on Kaisa’s fitness retreat…and came back feeling completely reset.

I feel stronger in my regular classes, my running has improved massively (which is huge for me because it is such a new skill) my energy feels different, and the scales have taken a shift in the right direction after being stuck for months!

As well as the physical changes, the next biggest shift was mindset. Spending time surrounded by like-minded people who genuinely wanted to encourage, support and lift each other up was incredibly motivating.

There’s something really powerful about being in an environment where everyone wants to see each other win. Kaisa has built a great community and her enthusiasm to see people improve is shared.

A reminder that progress isn’t always linear … sometimes you just need the right people, the right energy, and a fresh challenge to level up again.”

A fellow Finn and PT contacted me at the end of last year after seeing some of my Hyrox race posts. She had done an open solo in Birmingham and felt depleted by the race as it was a lot harder than she thought with the wall balls taking her nearly 10 minutes!

She asked if I do Hyrox programs and fast forward five months and her following the workouts I specifically tailored for her and she went from 1.32 with a run average of 5.17/km and wall balls at 9.29 to doing Helsinki in 1.18 with a 4.54/km run average and 5.17 wall balls.

I couldn’t be more proud of Minniina. She did everything I asked and got an epic PB! We hammered her weaknesses, worked on her strengths and she did 100 squats after every run and it paid off! I can’t wait to keep programming her and watch her improve.

She said:

“I am so grateful for Kaisa’s help with my Hyrox training. After leaving part of my soul on the burpee station at my first Hyrox in Birmingham, I wanted to get better and really enjoy this event.

Kaisa has helped me to train specifically for Hyrox and pinpoint where I needed to get better. I needed this guidance as training for Hyrox is so different than training for a marathon or any other event I have done in the past.

One of my biggest learning curves has been that I am not afraid of the treadmill anymore. I know this may sound silly, but I was totally convinced I would just fly off and hurt myself. But practising running on it has helped me to become faster and really push myself.

Thanks Kaisa, we must train together soon!”

Me and have farm games in a few weeks and considering I’ve not done half of the movements in well over a year, we thought some practice together might not be the worst idea…

Always an absolute laugh with this super girl!

A five day retreat full of amazing people, healthy living, laughter, hard work, early nights, relaxation and so much encouragement for one another.

Everyone pushed themselves, supported each other and genuinely connected in such a special way it made me very happy. I absolutely love bringing people together, and this retreat definitely created some genuine friendships that I know will last a lifetime.

One of my favourite things is seeing people do more than they ever thought they were capable of and there was a lot of that happening. I know a lot of the guests have returned home knowing they can take their fitness to the next level as they are more than capable!

I am so grateful for every conversation, every workout, every sunrise and every memory made.

The feedback has been incredible, which is probably why I shouldn’t be very surprised that next year’s retreat is already almost fully booked! If you’d like to join us and want to secure one of the few remaining spaces, please get in touch as soon as possible.

G R A T E F U L .

We have one more full day left in Spain at my fitness retreat and I can’t even put into words how happy the last few days have made me.

It is incredible to be surrounded by amazing people who are all different ages and from different backgrounds who just click and enjoy each others company.

We have done some hilly runs, worked hard at my functional fitness classes, chilled by the pool, read books, napped, hiked and eaten some super healthy and delicious food thanks to Rich and his helper Chris!

Looks like we will be coming back to the same villa for the fourth year running, as people are already asking me for the dates for 2027!

Love.

Third year in these gorgeous views and I know I’ll have to come back next year too.

Early morning runs, functional fitness classes, yoga, stretch & mobility, healthy food and great people. I am most definitely in my happy place.

Two more days to go.

G E T Y O U R S E L F A S C O T T ! 🔥

Mixed doubles Hyrox in Cardiff with Scott was supposed to be the test run before the worlds and a pretty easy PB, but sadly my heart had other plans.

I was buzzing for this race, as we did amazing in London, but because it was the first time we met (an hour before the race) and our first one together, Scott held back a bit on the runs, as quite rightly, he didn’t know what I was capable of. He then found out I am ok and he didn’t have to look back once to check where I was. We came first in our AG and qualified for the worlds!

Fast forward to Cardiff and the first run felt comfy and then when I was on the ski for the second time, my stupid heart palpitations showed up uninvited. And if you know, you know… there’s no “pushing through” unless you want to wake up in hospital. So after the next run and me feeling like I was gonna pass out, I had to leave Scott to it.

I couldn’t have been more angry, frustrated and gutted, but there is nothing I could have done, and I am so proud of Scott for carrying on like an absolute machine - he even smashed 100 unbroken wall balls at the end!

I’m still not over it if I’m totally honest, but sadly I sometimes get this with no rhyme or reason and as frustrating it is, it’s just part of the game. We reset and go again as we have more races to smash.

H Y R O X C A R D I F F ! 🥇

Third race with Kelly in the books and we came away with 1st in our age group out of 352 and 2nd overall out of 2443 competitors and a 2 minute PB and I couldn’t be happier!

It definitely wasn’t the easiest course, but no excuses ever!We had a moment where our sled somehow got tangled with another team, which cost us a lot of time. On top of that, we made a few mistakes ourselves, but we know to be more focused next time and that sub 60 is there.

That said, it was a strong race and another solid step forward for us as a team. Plenty to take away, plenty to improve.

We keep training, pushing and getting better!

A huge thanks to for being there to support us and keeping us in the loop with how our runs and stations were. (I especially loved when we were on the rower and he told me “runs good … stations s**t!)

T E A M W O R K !

I’ve been wanting to do the MiKKO’S TRIANGLE workout for ages, but it’s not one of those I’d ever wanna do on my own.

Me, & tackled it together today and it was awesome!

Everyone should find themselves a team of people to train with no matter how big or small who push each other to be the best they can be!

I had a super insightful chat with the American endurance athlete and marathoner who has taken the Hyrox World by storm with her quick adaptation to the hybrid format. She achieved the fastest Elite15 debut of all time with an incredible sub-56 minute race in Warsaw whilst smiling her way around!

has not only done amazing in Hyrox. She qualified for the 2028 Olympic Marathon Trials after many failures and she is a photographer, a high school track and field and cross country coach as well as leading a local running club who anyone can join with her friends Caro and Christian.

She lives in West Michigan with her husband, would pick Hyrox over marathons and has a cocktail about once a week and ALWAYS the night before any race!

S T E P U P Y O U R R U N N I N G .

After the London marathon today, I once again started thinking about how incredible people are. To run 26.2 miles or 42km is no joke and you have to put the training in.

I personally may not love long distance running, but I’m pretty decent at it and I am very thankful I can just get up and go run when there are a so many people who aren’t so fortunate for what ever reason.

If you’re reading this and are already running, but aren’t seeing results in your training and racing, or are thinking about starting, I would love to help you reach your goals whether it is to run a 5km or an ultramarathon or anything in between.

I can help you build the endurance, speed, and race day confidence, but as most people know it’s not just about the running … Strength training is an absolute must if you’re wanting to become a better runner.

There are lots of opinions about how you should structure your training and not one size fits all, which is why I tailor everything to each person and get results not only for my clients but for myself.

Send me a DM and we can book in a chat!
