Beautiful blue skies down on the green today, it could of been the height of summer.

Picture a room buzzing like a beehive in party shoes. Our presentation evening was packed with laughter, friendly competition, and a good dash of chaos in the best possible way.

Huge thanks to Mary, who kicked things off with a mini-quiz to keep our brains warm while people rolled in. Then she switched gears and transformed into our DJ for the night, with her glamorous sidekick Ian spinning an imaginary disco ball beside her. Together they powered us through two rounds of Hit Mix Bingo filled with classic tunes from the 60s and 70s. If toe-tapping was a sport, we’d all be champions by now.

The buffet? Let’s just say plates returned suspiciously empty. And the drinks flowed thanks to our superstar bar team who kept glasses topped up and spirits high.

For the main event, Amanda took the stage with warm words of appreciation for everyone who entered our internal competitions. With pride and applause filling the room, trophies were handed out by Gary and Amanda to our shining winners. Cue the cheers and camera flashes. 🏆✨

Mixed bag last weekend, we lost our away game against Bletchley Town on Saturday but won our home game on Sunday against Buckingham West End.

Last Saturday was another glorious day on the green, blessed with hot and sunny weather.
We were thrilled to host the Bradwell Bowls Club for a friendly match on our home ground, playing across five rinks.

The final score was 91 to 67 in our favor, winning four rinks to one. I love this photo that was taken during the game, it shows a colourful array of bowls.
Well done to everyone who played and made it an enjoyable game.

We're already looking forward to a rematch on their turf later this year. Stay tuned for more updates!

🌞 Home game, We had a fantastic home game against Barton Le Clay this Saturday! The 1st home game of the season.
The weather couldn't have been better, with the sun shining throughout the match.
We're thrilled to announce our victory with a score of 70-63. The spirit of the game was truly remarkable, as always. Thanks to everyone who came out to support us! 🎉

We ventured away to Wendover Bowls Club last weekend, greeted warmly by their team. After a thrilling 9 ends, we paused for tea, holding a strong position. Yet, the mystery of their tea seemed to work against us, as we were narrowly edged out on 3 of the 4 rinks in the final end, with a draw on the other rink. But such is the nature of the game! Despite the outcome, we cherished the camaraderie and the rain even held off for us.

Yesterday, our team embarked on a friendly away game against Wolverton Town, and what a delightful experience it was! Despite the chilly weather reminding us that spring is still finding its footing, the warmth of the hospitality extended by the Wolverton Town team truly made up for it. A huge thank you to our hosts for their gracious welcome!

In the spirit of friendly competition, our team brought their A-game to the green, and the results speak for themselves: a triumphant victory with a score of 69 to 59! 🥇🎉

Rain didn't stop practice yesterday

🌟🏆 Our bowls club kicked off the season in style with our first game against Houghton Regis on Saturday, April 20th!

Despite the rainy weather keeping us off the greens for practice, our team rallied together for an exhilarating match. It's been months since some of us last bowled, but hey, the same goes for our opponents!

A huge congratulations to all who participated – your dedication and sportsmanship shine bright. While the results saw us losing 3 rinks to 2, the spirit of the game prevailed, with the final score standing at 97-67.

Let's keep the momentum going for the rest of the season! 🌟🏆
