Yoga is for everyone ✨
Our aim is to provide a space to move, breathe, learn and rest - a space where everyone feels welcome.
Our LGBTQ+ Community Class is one of the many ways we aim to create an inclusive and supportive environment at Whitespace.
Led by David Keens, this class offers an opportunity for anyone who identifies as LGBTQ+ to explore yoga, build confidence in their practice and connect with others in the community.
Whether you're completely new to yoga or have practised for years, you'll be warmly welcomed.

It's easy to look at a posture and think it happened overnight. But most poses are built through lots of small steps.
A little more awareness, a little more strength, a little more trust.
One of the things we value at Whitespace is helping students find the version of a pose that feels right for them, while offering options for those who want to explore further.
If there's a posture you've been curious about or working towards, ask your teacher. Our teachers love talking about yoga, sharing ideas and offering little tips that can help you explore a posture in a different way.
These images show Ali exploring different stages and variations of crow pose - a lovely reminder that yoga is a practice of patience, curiosity and progression.
Join Ali during the week on:
✨ Mondays 5.45pm | Empower Your Vinyasa

David demonstrating urdhva dhanurasana (aka wheel pose) ✨
A posture that's part of the traditional Ashtanga series.
For many people, it's also the kind of image that makes them think:
"Ashtanga isn't for me..."
For over 15 years, David has been sharing Ashtanga at Whitespace, creating a welcoming space where students can develop their practice at their own pace.
Some students are building confidence with the foundations. Others are gradually working towards postures they once thought would never be possible for them.
It's not about achieving one exact pose... it's about developing awareness, strength, breath and trust in your body over time.
Over the years, we've seen so many lovely moments where students come out of class glowing because something finally clicked - a posture they've been patiently working towards, a little more ease in the body, or simply a deeper trust in themselves.
That's the real heart of the practice. Just showing up, breathing and allowing the practice to unfold over time ✨
If you're new to Ashtanga, the 7:00–9:00am Mysore-style class can be wonderful place to begin, with individual guidance and support at your own pace. The 9:00–10:15am Counted Led Class offers the opportunity to experience the traditional sequence practised together as a group.
