BMX United is a family based BMX race team with riders racing at National and Regional Competitions.

Everything comes to an end and sad to say the end of the road has come for BMX United.

In 2015 a group of riders from Gosport BMX Club found themselves homeless at National Races. A team was formed to give them a base, not all about results but enjoyment and fun. The family ethos was above everything and MUVI BMX race team was born.

In 2016, after one year, we changed to BMX UNITED but the aims remained the same.

In 2017 we expanded to include riders from other clubs and regions, chosen on their ability to fit in rather than about their results. The orange shirt first arrived.

In 2020 we added the pink sleeve to continue to highlight the ‘riders v cancer’ campaign (thanks lovenotmoney for allowing this) which was close to us with two of our dads going through treatment. This has remained through to the end.

Regardless of expectations, the riders went from strength to strength and had eleven riders qualifying to represent GB at the World Championships.

As a team, we didn’t want to charge the riders to ride for us, so we worked tirelessly to get appropriate sponsorship.
Massive thanks go out to the following sponsors who helped us:

Cubra Electrical Ltd
ASAP UK LTD
SC4 Carpenters Ltd
A B Trimming
Lead Racewear

All the riders will remain part of the family whilst moving on to new teams and adventures. This includes all riders who set up camp in our gazebos as they had nowhere else, our guests.

Although coming to this decision is not easy, it has been great fun and we are grateful to have made so many friends along the way.

We will still see you trackside.

Have fun. 🤘

A few memories of the family over the years.

Last round on the EA Regionals at MK today.

Molly doubled up on 20" and 24", both in the 17-29 female classes.

Unbeaten on her cruiser to take the win.
Merged with the boys on her 20" finishing 3rd overall and winning the class.

She'll be on the 2.3 plate on her 20" at the Brits and 1.3 on cruiser 👏👏👏

And that’s a wrap for this year.

Last national weekend at Birmingham with five of the team riding.

Molly continued to lead the way with two A finals and one B final.

Ash returned with a great B final on Sunday, avoiding a big cut.

Sam & Max made quarters on both days but ended there in a very strong category.

Finally Joe came back after a long time out injured and wasn’t off the pace as he raced against some big hitters in the 19-29 open.

Although it was a disjointed season, big shout out to Molly who finished as National #7 in the 17-29 cruiser.

As always big thanks to our sponsors for making it happen.

A depleted team arrived in Manchester for rounds 7&8 of the National Series.

On Saturday Max rode well to make the 1/4 finals, only to be drawn in what could easily have been an A final last year. Unfortunately that is where his day ended.
Sam had upset the moto gods once again and got motod.

Sunday arrived and Sam started in determined fashion, knocking 2.5 seconds of his lap time, finishing with 5,7,6 results. Through to the 1/4’s where he raced well but went out.

Max once again looked comfortable getting moto results of 4,5,5.
Through to the 1/4’s where he again had a tough race, getting cut in the berm and finishing 6th.

Only 2 weeks till Birmingham and looking forward to seeing the full team racing.

Thanks as always go to our sponsors:

Gutted to say Sunny has had an off and caused a bit of damage to his shoulder. Just as he was getting the consistency to compete & win at the top of his categories.
It’s the other one this time but he will be back, stronger and faster.
Sending healing vibes. 🤘

The EA contingent of BMX United enjoyed racing at Rd 3 of the EA series at Royston Rockets this afternoon.

Joseph, in his first race since April '23, snuck into the semi's on countback and finished 5th in the B Final of a very strong Superclass group.

Molly doubled up on two bikes finishing 2nd in the combined 17-29/30+ female cruiser class and 6th in the combined 17-29 male/female class.

Got a call from another BMX Team whose new race shirts were missing the Union Flag on the shoulders.
Some of their riders were due to race in the European Round this weekend so needed something sorting.
They went to one of our sponsors ASAP UK LTD who dropped other work to help get the problem sorted.
Massive thanks to ASAP.

SUNDAY

Once again it was Molly & Max donning the Orange, blue & pink.

Max was once again looking smooth achieving moto results of 4,5,4 and an easy transition to the quarter finals.

A good gate allowed him to enter the first berm in the mix but it bit again, with Max being forced high and once again he was up against it. That unfortunately was that and he went out in 8th place. 🤘

Molly again started with confidence on her cruiser, finishing with moto results of 3,3,3, once again going in to the A final.
Another good start saw her going into the 1st berm in the pack, coming out 5th. Despite her best effort there was no opportunity to pass so had to settle for another great 5th.🤘🤘

On to her 20’.
Moto results of 3,4,4 allowed Molly to progress through to the semifinals once more.
In a stacked semi final Molly rode well finishing 6th and through to the B final.

In the final gate 1 was available so she took the risk, get the snap and she will be right up there into the first berm, or get squeezed against the wall.
Unfortunately it was the latter but with determination and skill a 6th place was secured despite coming under pressure down the last straight.
Four finals in 2 days is a great achievement, well done. 🤘🤘🤘

Next national is at Cyclopark in April where we hope to have a full compliment of riders.

Once again, massive thanks to Cubra Electrical Ltd and ASAP UK LTD for supporting the team through their sponsorship.

1st National weekend of the season at Manchester Indoor.
Was always going to be a low attendance by our riders due to birthdays and other prior commitments. (The joy of the dates being released late)

Saturday:
Max was racing the cruiser in the 17-29’s.
Looking smooth and relaxed in his motos, he progressed to the quarterfinals.
Unfortunately Max didn’t get the best gate and was pushed up in the 1st berm.
Despite his best efforts he could only get back to 6th. 🤘

Molly was making her BMX United debut and doubled up.

On her cruiser she was always in control, getting moto results of 2,3,4 allowed easy progress through to the A final.
A good start saw her enter the 1st berm in the mix, coming out 5th. Molly looked for opportunities for the rest of the race but had to settle for an awesome 5th.🤘

The afternoon saw Molly on the 20’.
Moto results of 4,3,3 saw her comfortably through to the semifinals. In a tough race she finished 7th and through to the B final.

6th pick in the final didn’t make it easy but a mix of determination and great skill saw her finish in an impressive 5th. 🤘

Well done both, ready to do it all again on Sunday.

As always thanks to our sponsors Cubra Electrical Ltd and ASAP UK LTD.
