The final team sheets of the 2026 season are here, with all four GBCC senior XIs taking to the field for one last time this summer.

Whatever the results, itโ€™s been another season full of cricket, commitment, plenty of laughs and countless hours put in by players, captains, volunteers, scorers, umpires, ground staff, pavilion team, supporters and everyone behind the scenes. ๐Ÿ‘

At our latest junior training session, some of our senior players stepped in to share their experience, knowledge and plenty of useful tips with the next generation of GBCC cricketers. ๐Ÿ™Œ

๐ŸŒ€ SPIN MASTERCLASS
Brendan Fury worked with our juniors on the art of spin bowling โ€” flight, drift, control and, most importantly, how to think one step ahead of the batter.

๐Ÿงค BEHIND THE STUMPS
Huey Sweedy from our U15s led the wicketkeeping session, helping the younger players with their footwork, takes and game awareness.

๐Ÿ BUILDING THE BASICS
1st XI player Jenson John was on hand to work with the juniors on their fundamentals โ€” from grip and stance to building good habits at the crease.

๐Ÿ SAVE THE DATE โ€” GBCC 2026 AWARDS CELEBRATION ๐Ÿ†

As another season draws to a close, itโ€™s time to come together and celebrate everything that makes Great Brickhill Cricket Club special. โค

Saturday 26th September will be an evening to recognise the efforts, achievements and contributions of our members throughout 2026 โ€” both on and off the pitch.

From performances with bat and ball, to coaching, volunteering, scoring, supporting, organising and everything that happens behind the scenes, this is a celebration of the whole GBCC community.

Weโ€™d love to see members of all ages there โ€” senior and junior players, parents, families, volunteers, supporters and non-playing members. Whether youโ€™ve played every week or supported from the sidelines, youโ€™re part of the club and part of the celebration. ๐Ÿฅ‚๐Ÿ

Yesterday, .morris.963 brought up his sixth century for GBCC with a brilliant knock for our 2nd XI away at Cropredy. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ”ฅ

Georgeโ€™s journey with the club started way back in 2010. Now, 16 seasons later, heโ€™s scored 5,000+ runs for GBCC โ€” and heโ€™s still adding to the tally.
