Not much to report on this morning’s shoot as I didn’t get a chance to check it out and only chatted with a few shooters after they had finished. As for the scores, well the few shooters I spoke to were all in the mid 50s and said there wasn’t anything out there that was too testing and they should have done better, any way they had fun missing as well as hitting clays. It was good to see more and more folk are using the club house for something to eat and drink as well as having an after shoot chin-wag. Simon.S was back taking pic’s, cheers mate. Another brilliant morning, sun shining, blue sky with some white puffy clouds a slight wind which did tend to knock the clays around now and again but at least it kept us cool. Darren had rearranged the layouts and targets, they weren’t difficult but you still had to think about your pick up and breaking points. Once again it was a good turn out with quite a few new faces which was nice to see, don’t forget non-members are always welcome. More and more folk are discovering that we do have a club house and it serves food and drinks, Jamie and Tim have even set up some more tables and chairs outside so you can sit in the fresh air while chomping on your bacon bap. Good start for this morning’s shoot, warm, bright but overcast. What with the F1 at Silverstone and the tennis at Wimbledon we thought it might be quiet but no in fact it was a good turnout. Darren had left the lay outs pretty much as they were at the last shoot just a few tweaks here and there which reflected in the scores. Once again these are only the cards I saw and the folk I spoke to, several in the mid 60s quite a few more in the high 50 so if you scored mid 40s to 50s you were doing well. It was good to see that a lot more people had discovered that the Club House is now selling food and drinks plus it a great place to have a chat with fellow shooter; it was doing that well that Jamie nearly run out of baps.
