We are exploring what it means to truly let go—to release the need to control, to accept what is, and to trust in the present moment.
This idea of surrender, or Ishvara Pranidhana, is one of the Niyamas, or observances, from the ancient yoga texts.
It’s often translated as "surrender to a higher power," but, this doesn't have to be a specific deity or religious figure. It can simply be a surrender to the flow of life, to the wisdom of the universe, or to the quiet knowing within ourselves. It's the profound practice of letting go of the ego’s need to be in charge, to have all the answers, and to force an outcome. 🤍

My practise has evolved and grown, ebbed and flowed throughout every season and cycle of my adult life. I’m so grateful for a practise thats helped me to start feeling safe in my body after years of disassociation and helped me heal my lower back pain and weakness after a car crash. My practise has been a gateway to learning more about my nervous system and the joy of moving in a way that feels good. To flow with life, to let go more, to trust and find joy in the journey.
Such an honour to guide others in this practise. Thank you to every single person who has been to a class over these last 6 years, from our days in the church hall, to zoom classes during Covid, the rugby club and now a new home at Parkfields Community Centre 🤍 ✨
