There's still time to register your interest in taking part in this important research . Autistic and none - autistic people needed

We've previewed the questionnaire and are providing feedback today. Hopefully this means that the study will be commencing soon!

There's still time to sign up - use the link to express your interest and the questionnaire will be sent to you once it's been finalised.

The coronavirus outbreak has had a huge impact on all of our lives, but for autistic people it may present particular challenges.

Researchers at Cardiff University want to find out how conditions like social distancing are affecting the mental health and wellbeing of autistic adults.

We hope this research will help services to support autistic adults during this difficult time.

Who can take part?

If you are aged 18 or over and living in the United Kingdom, we would love to hear from you.

We would like to involve both autistic people, and people without an autism diagnosis. We plan to compare the answers from these two groups.

What do I need to do?

You will be sent a short online survey to fill out every two weeks for a period of three months.

Most of these surveys are very short and should only take 5 minutes to complete. The first survey is a bit longer and will take 20-30 minutes.

IMPORTANT YOUR VIEWS AND EXPERIENCES ARE NEEDED

The Children, Young People and Education Committee is exploring how the outbreak of COVID-19 is affecting all aspects of life for children and young people (including students in further and higher education).

They want to know about the impact of the outbreak on children and young people’s physical and mental health and well-being, their education and their social care.

They are keen to hear from everyone supporting children and young people and will also engage directly with children and young people to ensure that their views are at the forefront of scrutiny.

There is no fixed deadline by which to submit your views but obviously sooner is better than later
