Paddling with Smurph

This is the rat that has hacked my social media accounts. Including my business accounts.
I have battled hourly to regain control, but there is no support in the least from Meta/Facebook/Instagram and just a labyrinth of dead ends.

If I was to make a racist comment about this lowlife scum, I would be banned within hours. Yet I can't protect my friends, family or clients from posts that go against the community standards.

To solve this, I am going to have to delete both my personal and business pages on Facebook and Instagram, which is a great personal lose for all the memories that have been shared over 17 years of fun and friendships.

I ask that everybody unfollows and unfriends both any social media of mine, and I will delete the accounts in a couple of days.

Hopefully I will get new accounts sorted soon.

20th October is the next date, get it in your diaries and get booked on. This is a fantastic evening for paddlers of all abilities!

There is going to be a collection of the UKs most awesome coaches at the festival this year. Classes from beginners to more developmental so get yourselves booked on and head up for what will be a great weekend. Demo boards are also available from lots of companies.

Always nice to show students what people can achieve and keep an eye on some friends too!

SUP Lass Paddle Adventures

On Sunday I had the pleasure of a 1:1 session with a paddler who was looking to increase her confidence and knowledge of the river for solo paddling. The weather was perfect and the levels were up to make it a gentle glide looking at water features.

Drowning is always a risk with watersports, and it is important to wear a suitable PFD at all times.
I see too many people who will put them on pets and children, but not wear them themselves.
The most common reason heard for not wearing one is "I can swim", however my response is alway to ask how far can you swim when unconscious?
Not only does a correctly fitted buoyancy aid keep a casualty afloat, but it provides additional handles to aid rescue.
